Disney behind the scenes/galley tour confusion

Do we pickup the tickets earlier in the day and return later for the tour?
I noticed in the navigators there is an earlier time for 20mins in the morn and a longer 45min time in the mid-afternoon. Is this why?

Yes, they give out timed tickets now, and you go through the galley in small groups at your designated time. It works out very well.

Last December on the Magic they said that the people at the "Art of Entertaining" that morning got first choice of the tickets for the Galley Tour.

We went to get our tickets 5 minutes after they started handing them out and they were all gone but the CM said it was okay and we could just show up and do the tour! We did and it was no problem!

We are not big Disney fans (so sorry... we don't dislike Disney, we are just not big Disney people). Is this tour about seeing how the ship works, or is it more about the characters, movies, etc.?

The galley tour is not at all character-related...it is strictly a tour of the galley and explanations of how they handle feeding so many people in multiple restaurants with very little work space!

I feel like I was a "bad girl" saying that we weren't Disney people. Maybe this cruise will make us Disney people. We just don't watch many movies, and my husband (engineer) has no imagination, so watching cartoon movies has never been a big thing for us. I have never seen Peter Pan, Lion King (although I want to), Little Mermaid, Mulan, etc.
My son is a Toy Story freak! So, Buzz is a good friend of ours. Does that count?

Do they offer the galley tour on the 4 night cruise...and if so when do we request the tickets?

The galley tour is only offered on the 7 day cruises at this time.

Nedleycan: Buzz counts big time! My son is also a big fan!

Also, it's ok to enjoy the parks/cruise etc. better than the movies. Release feelings of guilt!!

I really enjoy watching my son have a good time, and would even if I wasn't a big Disney fan myself!

Oh my gosh! Buzz definitely counts. He is the coolest Disney guy I know (sorry Mickey).

Regarding The Lion King. . . please see it. I have never been so inspired. It has everything (story, music, character development, beauty). I grew up on the original Disney stuff (snow white, peter pan) but this movie is a true work of art.

If you are reading this, I must apologize for any comments that offended you. I believe that you are the King of Movies (don't tell Buzz I said that). We are looking forward to meeting you in November and hope that you will help us to love you even more. I have decided to rent Lion King for the weekend and I will rent Aladdin next weekend.... is that better?

may I suggest squeezing in Mulan mid-week. It is one of my favorites and my husband loves it too! It is pretty funny - even if your DH doesn't have an imagination as long as he has sense of humor he'll love it too.

oh, and don't forget to stock up on extra butter popcorn
