Disney Beach Club Resort Booking Question

Hello!

<---- as you can see from my user information, this is my 1st post! So hello everyone

I have been to Disney World many times and finally decided to take the financial plunge and reserve a room at the Beach Resort with a water view (HOPEFULLY lagoon) and a two day Park Hopper for the DW and me for the Food & Wine Festival from Oct 3 - Oct 6 (three nights).

The DAY AFTER making my reservation online via the official Disney website at rack rates with no dining plan, I was informed of this amazing website and all the information it provided. And I thought I knew alot about Disney - thanks for bursting my bubble DISBoards....

Now I know about "Room Only Discounts", PINs, free dining, Mousesavers.com, etc.

So my question is this - what should I do with my reservation seeing as I am paying rack rates with no free dining at the moment. (Note: Due to being there for the IF&WF, I would MUCH prefer a room only discount)

Should I:

A) Call back the Disney travel team and ask about a room only discount?
B) Call back the Disney travel team and ask if I have any PINs on my account (I have read of cases here where people had PINs but no email telling them they did)?
C) Wait until mid June or July to see if there are any GP room only offers?
D) Price Check with Small World Vacations to see if they can find a better deal? (Note: The issue I had with this is that I already have a reservation, and I am hesitant to cancel it to simply do a price check)
E) Deal with it
F) Other (feel free to insert your suggestion here)

I, too, am planning a trip in October for the food & wine festival. I am waiting for discounts for that time to come out. Last year they were released late August. So you may not be able to get a discount for October until then.

However, once they are announced (and you will hear it here first), you can call Disney and have the discount applied to your existing reservation.

I recommend you subscribe to the October Code Watch thread to keep up with the latest information on October discounts.

There isn't one available yet.

It is worth a try.

C) Wait until mid June or July to see if there are any GP room only offers?

There is a chance that a discount will come out later this summer. They happen all the time and the time period you choose has a good chance of being in a discount period.

I would wait.

E) Deal with it

Keep watching for discounts. The worst that will happen is that there won't be one.

If you have AAA you may be able to get a discount now and then have something applied when the fall rates come out. We love the BC and will be there later in Oct. It's a great resort with lots of action during the F & W Fest. Have Fun.
