We checked into the DLH on Feb 22 and a guest who was departing gave DD her balloon. She said she was catching a plane and had to have a balloon for her birthday at DL and wanted to share it with DD. I am not sure when she purchased it, but we brought it home with us after the week in DL and have to let you know at almost 3 weeks it is still going strong.

It is the clear balloon with a mickey head balloon inside of it. The Mickey has gotten smaller, but not that much smaller.

Thanks to the guest who passed on her birthday balloon to DD, you made a little girl happy and the joy has been going strong now.

I remember having one that lasted ages...little by tiny little it would grow smaller everyday but it took forever to die. We bought one for my DS on his first trip and sadly he let go of it before we even got back to the hotel and I had tied it around the stroller so I still don't know how he managed it. So yeah, they last a good long time unless you happen to let go of it.

Forgot to add how cool it was that someone made some magic for your DD!!

That is so sweet that someone did that for your DD!! I got some Disney balloons (not from Disneyland - but Mylar Disney characters) for my birthday on March 2. I know my DH had to have bought them at least on March 1 because they appeared in my office at 5:00 a.m. on March 2. They are still going strong and floating around my office. Makes me smile when I see them :thumbsup2

My son's popped in the car on our drive hm from DL. He was so sad, we kept the balloon and told him we would repair it. We never got around to it, and I finally tossed it last yr.

We had a light up one 4 weeks ago within a day the white Mickey head inside had shriveled to a lemon size. But the outer clear balloon is still
filled up and the light works lol. We just watched Mickey get smaller and smaller it was so funny :goodvibes but I won't buy another one for 12$ :scared1:

I love to bring a mylar home with me.
They do usually last at least two weeks in my house. It brings a smile to my face every day.:goodvibes

The cars ones they used to have would lst us a month. We bought dd a princess mylar one in Feb and it made it 2-3 days. Yikes on the 12 bucks, dh didn't mention that to me.

We always give ours away in Disney World before we leave, too!
My DD buys one the very first time we enter the park, and we keep it in our room. She LOVES balloons.
It is so neat to watch her "pick out" who she is going to give the balloon to.:goodvibes
To the OP, you are right, those balloons are amazingly strong.

I LOVE the light up balloons! For me, they can usually last for about 3 weeks before it starts going down. But I've noticed that sometimes those balloons can die fast like the ears in the Mickey will become small or the clear plastic part will deflate. When I got the Halloween one, one of the Mickey ears deflated by the end of the night & I was so sad, but everything else was still good.
But my DDad will always remind me about the Snoopy balloon that I got from Knott's when I was little & how it lasted for 3 months!!!

These ones are cool too because instead of a ribbon, they are on a REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY long straw type thing (colored hollow stick) and Jesse says he's going to keep those whenever the balloons die and steal everyone's drinks from far away :rotfl2: He's hoping the balloons will expire sooner rather than later!

The Mylar balloons lasted our entire trip.... The accompanying latex balloons didn't last 24 hours :confused3

My son got one of the ones with the Mickey head inside the clear Mickey head and it is STILL FLOATING ON MY CEILING. And here's the amazing part..........

We brought it home on FEBRUARY 10!!!!

Just crazy!

What a sweet story!

I have a (non-Disneyland) Mickey balloon that's been floating since the end of January. Mickey's head is starting to get kind of squished but the ears are quite full.

We have a non-disney mylar that is still on the ceiling since the end of Oct!!
It amazes me. All the rest that came with it fell to the ground long ago.

if you can find more helium, you can technically fill the mylar balloons back to when you first bought it. :)
