Disney Backpacks

I was looking for Disney backpacks on the outlet and noticed that all of them had this warning on them WARNING: This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer, or birth defects or other reproductive harm
I also noticed that the regular Disney shopping was not seeling these. I will not be getting these but wondered if anyone new any info on this.

I do not have any info on it but I have noticed this same warning on many decorative plates and glasses.

I read an article about certain types of plastics having a chemical in it that Cali deams cancer causing.

This is also used in some baby bottles and water bottles.....

I need to find that article. Anyway I suspect that is what the plastic is made with.

If you look at your hairdryer and curling iron cords, I think it is on all them also. I've never noticed it on backpacks though.

Thanks for the info. I"ll have to do some research to see if I can find any of the articles on this. I guess I won't be getting the dicount on backpacks this year!

FYI: pretty much EVERYTHING has been known to cause cancer in the state of California. You can find that warning on bubble gum, toys, everything! Don't worry.
Whats really funny is they have a cancer warning sign at Disneyland when you enter the parking garage. And surgeon's general warnings on poles in the smoking area.

I think this type of additive is only dangerous when heated up. Not sure, but that is what I read. Still not a bad thing to avoid!

This may sound horrible but that wouldn't bother me at all. As long as it isn't something that will be used to tuch food I wouldn't worry. At some time or another EVERYTHING has been studied and can cause cancer. I remember when digital alarm clocks caused cancer, electric blanket, TV's, cel phones. As long as that warning is not on my food or dishes it doesn't bother me.
