"Well since not having any cable since 9/11 in the afternoon I have had planty of time to keep my house clean & just think.

Last I heard from Bob last tuesday was that everything should be fully functional (things that were functional before) by Friday 9/13.
I finally got back online yesterday & come to find my email box has a ton of emails from people unable to log in.

Well pardon my french but this "SUCKS". I know this site takes a lot of work but my goodness even this is ridiculous & unprofessional. I wish I knew how to fix all the problems myself but I do not. I have been trying to create my own database to figure our a few things. Just not that simple. However, there are more problems then just the site not working properly. Stacy & I have been working on improving the site, from looking extremely professional to adding an advertisement section in which we can get sponsors that actually pay up front and don't stiff us like clixgalore did. It is very hard for me to fight back against some of these companies and members should not be cheated out of points when they genuinely provided valid traffic then u get someon scream fraud and everyone bails.

Well I fo one am not about to throw in the towel. In fact there are going to be some big changes. Necessary but big changes. I am debating right now what to do Oct 1st. I did however email the supervisor of my automation project. I told them I wanted a functional site, I told them I currently did not have one and if they do not want to come and fix it then I want my money back so I can pay someone who will do it.

I should hear back from him today hopefully after my morning run. Depending on what they tell me, I will decide what to do Oct 1st. With all this downtime I could have had someone redesigning the site. Let's see what they do and go from there.

Some new things you will see with the site:
Advertising Section
Premium Membership
Customer Care Assistance
Possible semi automation of purchases
New way to earn more points becoming a DA representative

The not so great things (these are neccessary to keep the site open)

more points needed for cash outs ( exact amount will be posted shortly, however it will not be as bad as you all think)
less points per dollar for purchases ( there will be a standard rate initiated)

these changes are neccessary to not just keep the site open but to also enable us to have more daily sites, as well as make everything on the site not just fully functional but easy to use, easy to understand, and easier to get help.

Premium Members is a bit hard to explain, it is something you would have to see to understand, however, premium membership is not a requirement it will be an option. People will be able to cash out at current rates and purchase at double points per dollar plus several other bonuses as well. Premium membership will be annual and it is not free. It will cost either 6000 points or $70. There are a lot of other things premium members will get as well but this will not be put into play until the next quarter.

What premium membership is, is basically an investment in the site, you will be helping the site become functional more easy to use and bring more technical options to the site, allowing more point opportunities. In return for your investment we will give you back more than what you pay. Like I said though it is an option and would be much more easy to understand once you can see for yourself the benefits. Membership fee is refundable within 30 days if paid for up front, if using points, they will not be refundable.

I will let you know. I have spoke to a couple of members about premium membership and the other things as well. I was glad to see they didn't turn and wave goodbye. I did not want to do this but I am really stuck here. We have been screwed too many times and it is time for businesses and people to take us seriously. So I am going to do what I can to make that happen.

Will keep you updated.

OK another update,

It seems you are now able to log in. POints are not yet recovered I will have to work on that. It should not delay payouts from last quarter as soon as I can access to member information I will be able to start taking care of that as well.

All points earned up to September 30th will be eligble at the current cash out rate. Any points carried over or earned the next quarter will be subject to the new payout system.

We are adding some more prize options but they will remain Disney related.

We are adding: parkhopper passes
disney store gift cards
disney club memberships
DA premium membership (6000 points)

We are doubling the cash out rate for standard membership the new cash out rate will be:

1600 = $10
3000 = $20
4500 = $30

the cost of our new prizes will be made available shortly.

Another update............

I called again last evening because certain things were still not completed.

Starting Oct 1st All you may find open at the site is daily point opportunities. Instead of closing the site I am leaving it open a bear minimum so that people can continue to earn points and also so we can get the rest of the site completed.

They will be bringing someone new in on this project and he will need to get aquainted with the system & how I need everything to work. The will be a referral system put into place as well as a redemption center. so everything that should have been functional will be.

I will post more later "

Just so you know these are Kris' post on the forums not mine.

I absolutely cannot believe that she doubled the cashout points. OMG that is freaking insane!:mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: If she honestly thinks that people are going to fork over $70 and THEN double the cash out amounts... ugh never mind.

I'd have a hard time justifying the expense of $70 for a premium membership in a rewards program that has yet to pay anyone their rewards. I cashed out at the end of June and haven't gotten my DD yet. Has anyone been paid? It's gonna take more than lip-service to convince me that it would be worth the investment.

I have to agree, $70 is a lot of money. I mean that's why we're doing the reward program in the first place right? We need $$$ to go to Disney :rolleyes: At least Kris made it optional, but I don't think I can afford $70 ... not $70 US anyway.

And then the doubling of the points ... just when I was so close to the 3,000 mark. I guess it doesn't matter much if no one's been paid yet :(

I forgot to say thanks for the update Mal! :p

I totally agreewith you guys. That is awful. Well I Hope we get our DD from last payout and I'm out there.

About a few days before the site had problems, I had about 780 points, and after the problems were solved, i had 690. Where did my points go?

And now I have to earn another 800 points before I can get my $10??????

And I still havent got my referral points!

Just food for thought...most other rewards programs that I do have much higher cashout levels then DA, alot of them require 2200 for $10 DD, so even though it is an increase, it is still lower than others that I do.

Thanks for the update Mal...

they may be a higher payoff but here is some more food for thought so far I have been paid by these higher cashout programs for disney dollars as far as disneyawards nada

The other sites might have higher payouts, but the also don't require the time that da does. I can't easily get milesource done in 2 or 3 minutes, get about 20 points. Where as da can take me 30 minutes to get 20 points. While right now that is okay because the points are worth more. If she doubles the amount needed for redemption, then they will be comparable to milesource's points.

So, why would I spend 30 minutes a day on getting the same amount of money that I can get at milesource in a few minutes?

Totally agree with you dmslush. It does take a long time to do. I have stopped doing the searches just so I can get my other programs done.

I have to agree with dmslush too! In the last two weeks, I've been surprised at how fast I can finish my other reward programs. They take minutes, but DA can take at least 1/2 an hour. I've had lots of free time since DA was down. I'm hoping enough of the members will be against the point increase so that Kris won't go through with it.
