So on a recent trip with DH to a couple of hardware stores I made 2 discoveries.

1. Our Home Depot is completely out of lime green mickey heads and in fact didn't have any colors except for the ones on the top row which was orange and yellow (maybe it's too hard for the kids to reach those colors?)

2. In the key duplicating kiosk in Lowes they sell these really cute disney keys. They are painted all over with bright colors and they had Mickey, Minnie, Pooh, Tigger, and Tinkerbell. It made me want to get a key duplicated but I resisted - this time. :) But I thought I would pass my discovery along for all you people out there who might want another disney accessory.

They also have the Disney keys at Home Depot. I saw them when I was there last Sat. and had a very hard time resisting. I would love one for my house key! My kids would fight to unlock the door even more than they do now. :lmao:

I have a Mickey Mouse and Tinker Bell house key. It's nice because
a) I can spot my house key in the dark
b) it's easy for my elderly mother to find the house key. She got locked out once and I had to tell the neighbor which key it was. It was super easy. IT's the Tinkerbell One. Only problem I had with it was she thought it was a kids toy. Oh well

We currently have keys for our favorite sports teams, mine is the Raiders and DBF's is the A's. DD12's key is green with a dragonfly and flowers on it, I wanted to get her a Tink one but Home Depot was out and Lowe's was too far away at the time. We gave it to her for Christmas, she thought that was pretty cool. I look when we go but I have resisted so far......LOL

We like the key thing at HD. I had Tinkerbell for our last apartment, and relaly need to get another for this place. :)

If anyone has Fred Meyers in their area, they have Disney themed keys, too. FM is a Kroger company, so it's possible Kroger has them too.

We love the Disney keys. That was the first thing we did when we moved in - adios plain boring gold key - hello Mickey Mouse! Such a pleasure to come home and use.

Hhmmm... this could work as a zipper pull on a purse i am giving my mother for our christmas trip. That would be so Very kewl.. i'm liking it.

I'll check them out later!

Thanks for this post.:thumbsup2

Oohhh! I want a Disney key for our new place..! That's my next mission!

I was just at HD 2 days ago and they were out of alien green mickey heads...
