Has anyone been to Disney in October and done the Mickey not so Scarey Halloween party How did you like it and what ages it is best for We are looking at a couple of different time frames and this sounds like another good reason to go in october

It is awsome! There are dance parties, trick or treating, story telling, a special parade. Basically, if you children enjoy Halloween now, they will love the MNSSHP. They get to dress up too (so do a lot of the adults). Most of the bigger rides are open. The park is closed to all of those who don't purchase a ticket. We loved it and we're going again this October!

It's great fun! It's amazing the transformation MK goes through between 6:00 and 7:00. It's the only place to see the parade and all the decoratons and music. During the day they are gone.

We go most years and the kids love it...DS9, DS8...but I think the grown-ups like it best, we get to trick or treat also!!!

It's great!!

Check out my pics from last year's party!
MY 2004 MNSSHP pics

WE saw a lot of charcters we never have before -goliath from the Gargoyles cartoon (my fave) and the Fairy Godmother for starters. We all had a blast. You'll love it. Even my DH raves about it to tohers & he's losing the lovin' Dsiney feelin'

MNSSHP

This is a review of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. At the bottom of the page, there is a link to about a 4 minute video of MNSSHP that is pretty good. Turn up your sound!

We LOVE October at WDW! We've been twice and did MNSSHP on our last trip. We thought it was fun but didn't think we'd do it again unless we had little ones with us. That said, we still enjoyed ourselves - LOVED the parade - and my husband quickly became a skilled trick-or-treater.

My husband, sister-in law & brother-in law & I went last year Oct 30-Nov 7 & had a blast. Halloween is my bday & we spent that evening at MNSSHP & it was great--we were just great big kids ourselves. My husband & I are going back this year...but a little earlier in Oct(1-9th) & we can't wait to go back to MNSSHP. :earsgirl: :earsboy:

Loved the pics. This will be our first trip in the fall and our first MNSSHP. I have been to MVMCP a couple times and these pictures get me really excited to go.

I have never eaten at any of the sitdown restaurants before the party and is this something you would all recommend? Eating at LTT? What time PS would you request.

Wow, how fun!

I see all the great pics and I wonder if it will have to be a two night event! I sure hope I get to do everything :)

Went last year for the first time and absolutely fell in love with MNSSHP! We are going on October 31st this year. This year, the whole family is going. My parents (65 & 66) love the trick or treating! This will be my brother's and sister-in-law's first time. I love it all! The parade, the fireworks, the characters, everything!!!

Have a blast. Come on October :goodvibes

Thanks! We ate at LTT & really enjoyed it, especially the flank steak! My suggestion is to try to get an earlier PS like maybe 4;45. Even with the PS we waited and we ended up ebing finished after the party started even though our PS was for 5:30.

Other than that, we loved it!

My Dh and I have gone twice and really had a good time. Once we were more "dressed" up than the other time. It is great fun and the adults get as many treats as the children. Also we didn't find that the lines for the rides were bad at all. Also the parade is really good also.

MNSSHP is lots of fun, whether you have kids or not. I've been to WDW tons of times, but last year was my first MNSSHP and I'm glad we did it. Here is a pic of me and Lenshanem....She was Alice and I was a redneck (not a stretch :earboy2: ) Oh, I also wrote about the evening in my trip report...it's day 2 I think.

I have gone to WDW in October for the last 3 years and have done Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween the last 2. It is really cute and I would highly recomend it. They hand out trick or treat bags and set up candy stations where you can get candy. They also have a special parade. Not to mention you and your group get a picture taken and it gets sent to your home. I'm planning on going again this year.

Here's some info on MNSSHP that we have here at the DIS:

Late October is my Favorite time to do the World. MNSSHP is lots of fun, even tho it is soooo crowded now compared to the first time we did it in '99.
But, the clincher for me is the glorious weather & the Food & Wine Festival. Just can't beat it.

ITA!! The weather is almost perfection and the MNSSHP is a blast! My dream would be to go to WDW twice a year; October for MNSSHP and December for MVMCP and I'd be in heaven! :teeth:
