We are planning on going to Disney for Spring Break next year...just found out that spring break will start the day after Easter next year. I know Easter is a busy time of the year...my question is ...is it the week leading into Easter (mon - sat before Easter on Sunday) or the week that Easter starts (Easter Sunday 3/24/13 spring break starts 3/25) or does it matter are they both super crowded? This time is probably going to more expensive also isnt' it  Our Spring Break is usually in April and of course the year we plan on going it gets changed to March:mad: With our kids in high school and sports the only other time we could go would be July or first part of August :scared:

I am not sure if there is a difference in the parks, but airfare will be high if you are flying. We went on Disney Dream the week before Easter and it was the highest I ever paid for airfare in all the years of flying to Orlando.

I think you have the wrong date. Easter 2013 is on March 31st.

We are in NC and spring break is always the week after Easter. I am sure there are other places where school are out the week before but the trend in the South is the week after. Sorry, it will be crazy packed!

If it follows the trend of this past Easter, it may not be as crowded as in past years. We had lots of empty rooms at our 2 resorts and were upgraded at both without asking (WL and BC CL). We did not have trouble at the parks because we went in the early mornings, took an afternoon break at our resort, then back to a park later at night. It worked out well.....only noticed very large crowds on 2 of our MK days right around the 1:00/2:00 time frame.

Also, none of the parks closed due to full capacity this past Easter. Traditionally, I believe at least MK closes at least a few times during Easter break, but not this past Easter. I think a lot had to do with disney blacking out any deals which is what caused the empty resort rooms. It will be interesting to see what happens in 2013.

I am going in 2014 and it will be Easter weekend that I am . I hope it works out for me to .

We were also there last year on Easter. It really wasn't bad at all...we even had special Easter Baskets made for our girls in the gift shop! It was a very special time!

We are headed down the week before Easter. I've been watching airfare for 2 months, it is HIGH! I hope it comes down. I expect it to be high but these prices are crazy high.

We went to WDW on Easter week this year (and 4th of July last year). We were there 6 days, leaving night before Easter. Was not as crowded as people indicated when I was planning and was less crowded than week of 4th. We were able to get all ADRs we wanted and able to change some two weeks prior. We made good use of magic hours and rope drops so that helped as well. Water parks were nor too crowded either.
