My family is going down the week before christmas and staying till christmas day. Is there any great restaraunts for my family? My children are 8,6,3 and my husband wants a traditional sit down dinner? Does dvc do anything for their members?

There is such a grand selection. Among some of the more poular:

Liberty Tree Tavern in MK is character dinner, casual, family style fixed menu.

O'Hanas at Poly is another fixed menu, family style with very good food and fun for kids.

Cape May Cafe at BC is buffet style clam bake.

There are many more upscale, but they may be less fun for the kids.

DVC has discounts at some restaurants, but none of them are character meals, I don't think. You can check the DVC Member website for updated discounts on restaurants around WDW.

I'll just add that if you're considering PS for dinner on Christmas Day, you should get on the phone as quickly as possible. Guests can book PS up to 90 days prior to arrival, which puts you well within that window for Christmas Day. At this point, you may not exactly have a prime selection of restaurants and dining times available.
