(If this is in the wrong place, please move it)

I am a fan/collector of low-brow/illustrative artwork, and was going through my bookmarked sites, when I discovered this.

An artist whose site I had been frequenting was not only doing some work for Disney; he had designed most of Bonnie's toys, including Buttercup, Dolly and Mr Pricklepants!

I have several of his pieces - they remind me (somewhat) of Mary Blair's style, so they fit in nicely with my Disney collections (especially the "Yeti" stuff)

Anyway, check it out, there are some pretty neat images and information posted.

Thanks for sharing! Those were fun. :)

Glad someone commented, I was afraid the post was going unnoticed. I just got some prints from him to give a co-worker as a gift, and he threw in some real nifty sketches!

I also asked him about the Sid cameo, since he'd designed the garbageman (the answer was pretty cool).

"As for the garbage truck guy, funny enough and this is no joke, originally he was actually modeled off of me. We took pictures of my self in the whole Trash guy/mullet get up and from there we just began to design him off of me. They later decided that it would be a funny thing for the fans to see him as Sid, to kind of show the two paths both boys went down, but it really is only a side joke for the fans who would notice. But no joke, at first it was me, kind of funny."
