Disney Annual Pass and Extreme Circumstances

I am looking for some guidance. I purchased 4 annual passes for my family in April 2004. The way spring break was scheduled we could use the passes for 2 years (april 2004, march 2005). However in August 2004 my husband was diagnosed with ALS and by March 2005 there was no way we could go to Disney. My husband passed away in July 2005

I wondered if anyone has had a similar situation. I was hoping that Disney might let us (my kids and I) use the passes 1 time in the future. (I don't know when we'd feel up to it, but I am sad about how much money I spent and the fact we could not use them).

Can anyone recommend who I might write to at Disney? I understand they might just say no, but I thought I would at least try.

thanks for any help you might offer,
Marti

Sorry about your husband.

Did you use the passes for the Spring Break trip? If so then I don't think you have any recourse. If they haven't been used at all they are still good.

My condolences to you and your family. I certainly hope Disney can help you!

Sincerely,
Tom

I believe the reason Disney discounts these passes is like insurance. Some people are not going to get to use them enough to make them cost effective. That said, perhaps if you show them the death certificate with cause as a terminal illness they will help you out. Not sure you want to go through that though.
My condolences to you all.

I certainly hope and pray that they will give your case individual attention and make an exception in your case. And I am so sorry for your loss. Extra hugs to your kids! :grouphug:
