I have a really strange question. Hopefully someone can help! We are going to Disney in January. We are flying back on a Monday and have a late flight out. We won't have a rental car.....using Magical Express. Aside from renting a car, anyone have thought as what we could do with our bags so we can hit Universal before our flight?

TIA!

If you're planning on checking out of your disney resort, going to universal and heading back to your disney resort to catch the magical express, then your resort would be happy to put your bags aside for the day I'd have thought?

Agreed, I think the resort will hold your carry on's and you can check your bags at the resort in the morning for your flight later on.

I agree with the others, the Disney resort would hold your bags all day.

However, unless your flight is very late, this plan would eat into your Universal time significantly, since you would have to leave Universal close to four hours before your flight, since MDE picks up 3 hours before a flight.

With that in mind, since you have to pay for transport to and from Universal anyway, I'd just do a rental car and go directly from UO to MCO.

Universal is actually closer to the airport than Disney, so if your plan does involve returning to your Disney resort before the airport, you are backtracking.

Good point.

And....the nice thing about the luggage transfer service on the way home, known as RAC, is that it's totally and completely OK to use it as a luggage transfer service, and you don't have to be ON the bus. So you could get rid of the bags in the morning, get a rental car, go to Universal, then just drop the car at MCO. And you would see your bags at your home airport. I suppose carryons could stay in the trunk of the car (so don't get a car without a trunk)
