Hi Disney Fans,

For our next trip we were looking at staying near/around Clearwater Beach Area for a few days. Can anyone recommend where to stay, doesn't necessarily have to be beachfront but we would prefer a place with a pool.

For your reference we have stayed both on-site and off-site at Disney, we having access to a decent pool is required for our family!

Anything from a hotel/resort place would be great, hosting DW, DS, DD and myself.

Thanks!

We've stayed twice in St. Pete Beach at Sirata Beach Resort. First visit we had a courtyard room, next visit (last Aug) we booked a beachfront room with balcony. was worth it. Book at least 3 mos ahead for best rate. It wasn't that much more for the beachfront.

I was coming on here to ask the same question.
We are in the process of booking two Florida weeks. We will be landing in Orlando and leaving from Orlando.
We will spend one week in Orlando at Disney and we were hoping to spend the second week beachfront. Only thing is we have no clue where to go.
A friend suggested Naples cuz it's quiet and beautiful. Only thing is that it's a four hour drive.
We would love a place with a kitchenette but that's not a deal breaker. Any suggestions?

As i mentioned, Sirata Beach Resort is in St. pete Beach. they do have rooms with kitchens. About 90 min from Orlando on the gulf. There is also Clearwater, and other popular beaches in the same area.

We also enjoy the Atlantic Coast- Cocoa Beach is a fav of one daughter. She loves surfing- there's a Ron Jons surf school there. She got the same instructor who gives lessons at WDW TL! And it's close to the Space Centre. Only about an hr from Orlando, if that. We stayed at Hampton Inn there. Large rooms, and breakfast included. Plus Managers reception in the evening. Appies, beer & wine.

We have stayed here before and the location is fantastic. Room rates are also quite reasonable

It is a great location and rates are really reasonable if you book ahead. Rooms have been clean and we just get a room with a fridge. Don't cook on vacay.

Love those cabana lounges on the beach. We buy pool noodles to float around the gulf, then use them at WDW. When we leave, I find a mom with kids to leave them with.

There are tons of rentals along the Gulf Coast. I justed hunted on the Internet and found so many. Why not try a condo with bedrooms and a kitchen. We find that we save money on meals. We eat some meals out, but can make breakfast, lunch and easy meals like frozen lasagna, etc.

We love the Treasure Island/St. Pete's Beach area. It feels so "beachy" and so relaxing after touring the Parks for days.

Good luck.

Oh boy, you need to go visit THE CAPTAIN.....
The Sea Captain Resort that is. Right across the street from Pier 60 in Clearwater Beach. It is a little Mom & Pop place, clean as anywhere you have stayed and very comfortable. We always stay here during our "beach portion" of our vacation.

We just got back from a week at Clearwater Beach. We rented a condo at Haborview Grande. We really enjoyed the condo and the beach. Lots of great shops and dining in walking distance.

We have been staying at the Harbourview Grande condos for the past 4 years during Spring Break. It is a great facility with a pool, and only a 5 minute walk to the beach. We see dolphins off of the balcony in the intercostal waterways all of the time. Clearwater beach is an excellent place to visit.

Hi,

We are doing an Orlando-Cruise-Beach vacation this November. We visited friends at Palm Bay Club last year in Sarasota... Just beautiful. THey have a private beach, nice grounds, clean rooms and the beach beach beach!!! So gorgeous. My favorite FL beach thus far.

Check them out.
