Please tell me this is not true. Disney is banning anyone with visible tattoos? My most beloved place is going to ban me from their parks?

it can't be it sounds to fake think about it disney any one can go to disney they do not ban people they have people in the park with all different skin colors, and people from all over the world. they do not ban just because they see some ink on your skin.

This was just on my local news.. I know there was an April fools joke going on, but why would they air it recently?

that is what i mean by not funny people with not laugh they will freak out about it

To be clear, Disney does have a policy that prohibits tattoos that are offensive, but that rule has been there for a long time and I've never heard it creating a problem. My guess is that the April fools day joke is still making its rounds.

I went to my local pool last summer. I thought my family and I would get kicked out because we DIDN'T have any tattoos.

They're everywhere these days, I don't think a ban of non-offensive tattoos could ever happen.

I was atMagivKi from yesterday and saw tattoos. Don't worry :)

I even saw one I would consider "offensive" (or maybe just not completely appropriate - just violent/bloody image) on the back of a mans leg. So I feel like they aren't terribly strict or worried about tattoos at all. Honestly, tattoos exist. No point in sheltering anyone from them ;)

This is the silliest thing I have read in a while.....

Disney will not ban anyone....especially if they have money to spend...

May be based on Japan. They will ask you to cover exposed tattoos in onsens or public swimming pools and at Tokyo Disney. The website for Tokyo Disney states:

  • The following activities are not allowed in the Park: [...] Wearing inappropriate apparel or tattoos
  • Members or supporters of organized crime groups will not be admitted
We have visited Tokyo and there are numerous signs with these types of "rules" at many public places.

Japan is a very different place than the US. If Disney or any other public place tried to ban people based on tattoos they would have a lawsuit on their hands faster than you can say it! Of course the ACLU would also get involved quickly.

Where is this being told? That's not even true.

In Japan, tattoos have been traditionally associated with the Yakuza, and they have been frowned upon in regular society.
But, oddly enough, it turns out that the house that I used to live in Japan, over 20 years ago, is now a tattoo parlor

[GALLERY=][/GALLERY]seeing how Disney did this to my husband... (His choice painted on at HS) and EVERYONE thought it was a real tattoo and no one that worked in the park said a word to us id say you're good...

It may be changing but we saw multiple people denied use of the public facilities in Tokyo this summer and at Tokyo Disney Sea a female with a tattoo was told she would have to cover it to gain entry to the park.
