Disney and SR...gotta' vent.....

Ok, first of all, I do not hold Tricia or SR responsible for this....but I have to vent.....

Back in January, I used Christmas $$ to buy Disney GC's using the 8% link at SR. A little later, I used the link again and bought clothing for my entire family. About a month ago, I used the 8% link again and bought some snowglobes. The three combined purchases totalled over $200 so I was eagerly awaiting my $16 from SR (which would have given me enough to cash out for Disney Dollars.) After several weeks of not receiving any credit, I filled out a trouble ticket.

Well, Tricia was having all the problems with Disney crediting purchases so I waited patiently while she dealt with my trouble ticket. Today, I found out the resolution....Disney is not crediting Tricia for the purchases because they said I did not use the appropriate link!! This sucks because I DID use the appropriate link but there is no way that I can prove it, especially that it is now 3 months later. So now I am out my $16 and Tricia is out her commission! I'm so mad and frustrated because there is nothing I can do about it....

I'm right there with you. Still waiting on $75 credits for using the 10% supermember link to buy $750 worth of gift cards to pay my balance. Now not only did I not get credit, but I am losing the 6 months free interest on my Chase Visa (and Tricia hasn't been paid). I still have (a little) hope that the credits for this will come through, though.

I look at it this way... these rewards programs are nice if they work, but we can't count on them and any payouts are like a BONUS :)
 
That stinks....sounds like Disney really doesn't have their act together lately with the payouts. I know that happened to me with an Overstock order- I made 3 orders quickly in a row, and for whatever reason, the 3rd one didn't take. It was only for like .40, but I found it odd that they argued with Tricia that I didn't use the link for the 3rd one, when clearly I knew how to do it. Oh well! As PP said, I do consider this whole thing a big giant bonus- I can't wait to be at Disney next week, spendin' some of my SR moola!
 
I had the same problem with Disney but through QR. Dmitry tried to straighten it out but Disney said "no credit". He lost and so did I. Thanks to the webmasters that try to do the impossible and help all of us! Just wish these big companies would hold up their end of the bargain!

I'm really disappointed in Disney. They just denied a bunch of these for which I provided them the email confirmations. I did email my rep back again yesterday to try to get more information, but she was out of the office. I'm going to argue about it again because I think they should have to give a legitimate explanation.
 
I've spent hours on the phone trying to get Disney to verify my cc on purchases from Feb. 26 and 27 from the 10% on QR. I have a sinking feeling that they will do the same thing to me. I have really gotten the run-around, even though I used the same cc on previous purchases, they are telling me that the address can't be verified. The icing on the cake will be some weak reason that they won't pay out!
 
We'll see. I've come this far before. Now it's a matter of getting the shipment confirmation and then the 10%. I'm thinking positive. Ya think that helps?;)
 
I had the same thing happen with Disney...........3 orders one each in November, December & January over $200 never got credited. I kept waiting and waiting and finally opened a trouble ticket in early February. I logged into my account with Disney each time after I went through the Sunshine link. I thought maybe it was because I used a different email address.

Disney said I never went through the Sunshine link so denied the credit. They lied! I'm going to think 2X about shopping with them again. :badpc:

Is there anyone we can write to to encourage them to have better customer service with the reward programs? It makes me mad that they give hard working people the run around and go back on their promises. Every time I hear about another one of these stories it continues to reflect poorly on them. It makes me want to let them know how it is affecting their reputation.
 
I feel lucky that I got my rewards from my Disney GC. My last $200 in rewards was credited on 3/15. I ordered the $2000 GC on 2/22. So that was about 23 days.
Maybe I should cash these out. As obnoxious as Disney has been to Tricia and us they may suck them back out of my acct.

Oh Angela... this gives me hope!!! I ordered my $750 on 2/26 so maybe I'll get my credits soon??! Thanks!
