Disney - alone?

Yup, it's not like people will be staring at you, or whispering about you because you are solo! :cool2:

As far as anyone who sees you knows, your family is on a nearby ride or you temporarily split up. Happens all the time. So no need to be apprehensive about feeling weird.

Also, for the special partial day tickets, if your conference is at a Disney resort, you can get the tickets or get your pass changed at the Concierge desk in the resort. I did that a few years ago at Coronado.

The other good thing about World Showcase, as well as AK, is that it is easy to have a conversation with the CMs. Whether it is their home country, or the animal they take care of or are expert in, you can have some real nice chats and easily meet people.

I did this last year while my husband was working, and it was so much fun! I went around Epcot, and then did the XMAS party at Magic Kingdom. Noone paid any attention to the fact I was going on rides alone. Like others here mentioned, they mainly assume you just split up from your party. I carried a small backpack purse, and put a paperback in it. I read that while I ate. It made it a little easier to eat alone, plus I never get reading time with my 2 little ones, so that was a treat in itself!

I am SOOOOOOOOOO jealous.:goodvibes
I would LOVE to do DW alone. It would be my Day-of-a-Million-Dreams!

I just got back from my very first solo trip 2 weeks ago:goodvibes

I was alone the whole 5 days... it was weird at first, but by my 3rd day...I was totally loving it!! It was nice answering to nobody but me for a change. I'd do it again too:thumbsup2

I was just going to tell the OP to check out the trip reports section of the boards and read your report, and the others going on there!

I'm not sure about going to any park all alone. :confused3 ... Anyone done this? Any suggestions?
I have been taking a week-long solo trip to Walt Disney World for several years now, usually sometime during the holiday season.

It's really fun because you can do whatever you like the best. Plan to see the shows you like, and the rides you like, and repeat them as many times as you like. You'll have a blast.

I would totally go to Disney alone. I love my alone time in WDW - it is some of my favorite time in the parks. I find that I get the best pictures during that time.

I say Go for it. Do everything you want that no one else wants to do as well as your favorites.

I'm planning a solo May 09 trip just for me - No kids to take care of, No DH to deal with. I'm so excited.

I know you'll have a great time.
