Hi everyone,
I just booked my vacation to WDW tonight for my B-day in February. I was just wondering if anyone has stayed at the disney all-star movie resort? I have been to disney many of times but this is the first time I am actually staying in the park. Just wondering if anyone has any information on it. ::MinnieMo

We stayed there when my third child was still in a port a crib. We thought the resort was fine. My DH loved the price...........I was able to get the $49 rate. :goodvibes

The lobby has all sorts of photos to look at.......very interesting. My kids were all given balloons at check in, which never happened at POR or WL.

My kids loved the pool.....it wasn't the most relaxing thing I've ever done.......let's just say, there were A LOT of kids! :teeth: To be expected. The food court was busy but it was fine. I just don't like the eggs they serve in the food courts.........what are they, powdered eggs or something? Do they put lots of milk in them to stretch them? Whatever, I can deal.

We didn't use the transportation, we drove our own van.......something we have learned that we'd rather do over the years.

The grounds were clean and neat, housekeeping was good, no complaints.

Now, my family has discovered that we like/need more space. But ASmovies was a good, basic hotel room. I must admit, I would have a problem paying $100 night for it, but at a discount, it's a good bargain.

Go and have a great B-day! :sunny:

If you have kids, they will love it. If you don't, stay somewhere nicer. The bus rides are long and they don't have nice restaurants.

Pluto205, welcome to the Dis!

I have stayed in the All-Star Sports and All-Star Music (I haven't stayed in the Movies yet). I had a wonderful time in both resorts.

For more info on the All-Star Movies Resort, click here for the AS-Movies FAQ thread. You'll find lots of info in there.

By the way, happy (early) birthday. I hope you have a wonderful vacation in February.

We stayed there a few weeks ago and loved it. The kids thought it was great, I thought the food court had great options, the pool was fun, and it was nice to be in the middle of it all.

There are several threads on this board about ASMo, so you should be able to get tons of advice and ideas!

Have fun!

All-star movies is pure magic 24hours a day! We thought it had great atmosphere and the Disney feel is 100% there....

We stayed in the preferred building, but I wouldn't spend the money for a preferred building again. There are other buildings that are just as close and you don't pay 10 extra a night.

You will love it!

I got back a few weeks ago from my first stay at a value-ASMo and thought it was great. The busses were fine and the one night that we would have had a long wait at MK we just got on the ASMu bus and it was an easy walk back to movies from there.

The rooms are big enough, housekeeping was great and I really liked the food court. The lack of table service isn't a big deal to me. I can always eat table service in the parks or Downtown Disney.

we have stayed at many of the Disney resorts and we love them all.....We have stayed at All Star Movies with family and on our own .....Adults can have fun there as well as with kids........The food court is one of the best on Site....hope you have a great time
