So I no longer need a diaper bag and I'm admittingly too vain for just any tote bag. I'm really enjoying using my regular designer handbags after so many years with them in dust bags!:goodvibes I just won't use them with the kids stuff or shelping to a theme park. So I'm searching for a new everyday bag.

I'm on the search for a fashionable tote to use for summer to theme parks, especially our trip to WDW, airplane travel etc...

Anyone have a LeSportSac bag? Are they still lightweight after you put your stuff in them?

I NEED a bag with outside side pockets to hold water bottles/sippys.

Thought this one might work:

Might head to the Woodbury Commons outlet center and see how much it is there. Don't really care about the pattern, I could live with last seasons!:)

Anyone can suggest another brand they love? (I'm so not the LLBean/Landsend-type)

Thanks,
Mare

I used a Baggalini for our trip in December and will again for my "girls" trip w/ dd in July.

It really worked great...even threw some diapers in it and left the diaper bag in the room back at the resort most days!

I second the baggalini . I use mine now for everyday use to hold diapers/wipes in

I have an older version of this Overland bag from REI

Unfortunately, these pics don't show you the inside, but you can sort of see that there are side pockets that hold an umbrella and a water bottle. There are some compartments under the front flap where I keep my phone, glasses, pen, receipts, tickets and other credit card/immediate access kinds of things. I then tuck a paperback (when I'm alone) or my notes/reservations, snacks and a camera in the inside pocket. It's easy to carry and I get TONS of compliments on it. It's not as big as the Baggallini's but I'm good with that. It fits in all the pockets on the thrill rides that have pockets, but it fits so nicely on my hip that I can usually wear it on the ride without any discomfort.

This is the one I have as well and the only negative comments I have are:

1. Loaded with water bottle(s), it gets heavy and the strap digs in

2. The front flap is a pain to deal with to get to things. This is where the copartments are that fit my pen, nailfile, reading glasses and hand lotion. I would be better off putting things in there that I DON'T need often.

Otherwise it is a really nice bag, and I get complements on it as well.

I saw a mom in the Winnie the Pooh playground with this bag last Nov.

I need a tote, this one is not large enough. But it is nice

Thanks for introducing me to Baggalini. I like their A La Carte tote.

I've heard a lot about the Baggallini bags here on the DIS. I'm thinking of submitting to my urges and just buy one for our upcoming trip. But so far I've been using a tote from Anthropologie and I absolutely love. It's roomy (doesn't have sippy cup colders though) and it's not the average mommy tote but I can still fit her little 'toys' in there. http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/catalog/category.jsp?popId=SHOES_BAGS&navAction=poppush&navCount=7&pushId=SB_BAGS_WALLETS&id=SB_BAGS_WALLETS

Woodbury Commons! I haven't been there in a while, I miss it so much! Have fun and happy shopping! Hope you find your perfect tote! :goodvibes

This may be a bit out of your desired price range, but I LOVE my Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas Batignolles Horizontal. Mommys need to spoil themselves every once in a while! Its a great size (15"x 10"x 4.7"), has 2 inside pockets (one for cell one for band aids, etc) and I can get my 2 girls bottles, my & DHs bottle, diapers., wipes, wallet, lip stick and snacks for all. When I'm not using it to be Mommy, I use it for business, and I can fit all my paperwork and such in it. Heres the link!

PS- LOVE Woodbury Commons, just get there early so you can get a parking spot!

OMG! This is my current everyday bag!! I LOVE this bag!!

However, I would never take it to WDW! I need something I can get dirty, shove kid's stuff in, cram into a stroller basket, etc.... I would never do that to a beloved bag! :rotfl: Plus DH would never buy me another one!! And I've been eyeing the new LV Paloma bag that has a current wait list;)

I think the Baggalini's are great, but I'm concerned with the weight. I need it to be very lightweight and not tip over my stroller. I'm really considering the LeSportSac Tessa bag just because it looks more hip and I know I can squish it into a stroller basket.

Anyone want to help me select a pattern? Never had a LeSportSac before and these patterns are so out there. But Black seems so boring. Anyone want to help me? Here's the link:

Thanks for all your help!

You could also go cruise around etsy. www.etsy.com There are tons of purses and bags, and they're handcrafted so you will have something unique. And lots of times, if you see one that you like but maybe not that particular color, etc, you can contact the crafter and they'll do a custom bag for you.

I just bought this for airplane travel and the such. I hate diaper type bags, and while I appreciate that the baggalini is a really practical bag- I prefer a sleeker looking bag. This one doesn't have cup holders etc, but i think it holds a lot and a great price too.

I just saw this the other day at Bloomingdales. It's cute, but the handles are a little too short for me. I need something it to comfortably sling over my shoulder. I also found it to be a little small in person. I'd prefer a larger tote.

But thanks anyway!

I like the LeSportSac in Pebble if you're going for that one!

I love the Louis Vuitton bags - I had one but the strap tore recently :sad1: . Anyway, as much as I love these bags, there is no way in heck I would take an $800 bag with me to WDW.

It seems like you made up your mind, but I just wanted to point out the Mia Bossi diaper bags. They are well made and super chic. I especially like this one

A few friends have the Mia Bossi bags. They're very nice, but it's designed like a handbag. I need a tote to cram into a stroller basket, shove sippys in, etc... I'd hate to ruin a $500 bag on vacation.

Yeah, I think I'm going to go with the LeSportSac Tessa bag. I like the shape of it (long and narrow) and all the pockets. I love the material, perfect to squish into tight places. I just can't decide on a pattern. I'm not into patterns. Oh, unless it's LV :rotfl:

I called the outlet and the outlet price is $52 ($36 savings). They have last seasons patterns. The salesgirl ran off a list to me, but I couldn't remember them all. I know they have "Happy" and "Swizzle". I wish they had basic black. I pass the outlets on my way to our Pocono house. I'm going to see if DH will make a pit stop at the outlets on our way there this weekend. If the patterns are really horrible, I might just pay full price and get the basic black. I'll keep you posted!

Its so funny to read this post! Im just passing the diaper bag stage too, and need a new tote for our trip in April! I dont want to get a good one, in case it got lost , stolen, or ruined from sippy cups, etc! For me it was between the Lesportsac small travel tote, and a Longchamp. Both are squishy material that can be balled up and crammed under a stroler! I went with the Lesportsac, it had some outside pockets good for my phone and sunscreen. I also went looking at Woodbury Commons! There is a Longchamp outlet there too (and dont forget about JM Originals(my fav) for the kids!) Good luck!
