I thought I'd see if any of you get strange looks or sarcy comments when you tell people you are going to Disney AGAIN!

I've had loads of comments, too many to mention.. but a few of them are " Disney! Again" or "you've been there loads of times, don't you get BORED" are they kidding? Bored! Bored! unbelievable!

lol....... Di was asked if she goes on the rides, Hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My mother, particularly, thinks I'm absolutely crazy!!! She doesn't say anything, but I can always tell!!!

I used to get the same. I think my Disney ties and screensaver at work have convinced everyone that I'm Disney daft.
Any Christmas presents I get from the team are Disney related so I think the have learnt to love my Disney addiction ;)
They don't ask where I'm going, but when I'm going :)

Well, you'd think so wouldn't you??? But (forgive me for repeating myself as I've posted this on another thread) my SIL, when we said we were going to Disney again, said: "But what do you do there?" as if there's not enough to fill a day. They went to WDW once and when they went back to Florida the next year they went to Seaworld but not to Disney even though they had a little boy. That's what I find really impossible to understand.

That's it, the DIS boys and social services will be round there tomorrow. Florida and no Disney  ;)

I'm just so glad my DD and DS love it too..... DH comes along sometimes but we prefer it without him.... he just doesn't "get" Disney like we do. We always bring him back loads of "Grumpy" souvenirs! (why say it with flowers?) The good thing is he's perfectly happy for us to go as long as he doesn't have to come !!!!!! What is wrong with him? lol

Call childline.....that's the worse case of child cruelty EVER

Oh, absolutely. I don't even go very often and I still get it, so it must be hell for those of you who go a few times a year! ;)

When I told my auntie I was going to DLRP, she said, "But didn't you go with your mum a few years ago?" SEVEN YEARS AGO! Someone else asked, "Why are you going for four nights? I went a few years ago and we did it all in a day! You'll be bored." Noooo, never! I'd be bored sitting on a beach all day. I'd probably be bored doing a sightseeing tour. But at Disney? Never!

I'm actually dreading telling my family that we'll be going again next year. I'm pleased there are lots of people here to reassure me that it's okay to go more than once! ::MinnieMo

I don't know why but I always feel I have to justify it....as we went to Florida in March this year, and then decided to go to DLRP in October, I was saying to people, "we are going to DLP because the kids have always wanted to go to the Halloween Party". Now we are going again I am saying "well, we have never seen the Christmas stuff, and now we have annual passes we need to make good use of them" almost as if the annual passes were forced upon us. Why I can't just say..."YES, I AM GOING TO DISNEY AGAIN BECAUSE I LOVE IT THERE!!!!"

Same here....... I always find myself using my children as an excuse, which is becoming awkward now cos' they're 16 and 14! One day I'll just come out with my awful secret... I LOVE DISNEY

Hear, hear!!

I do just say this now anyway but nobody mentions it to me any more as they dread it might open the floodgates from me of how wonderful it is :teeth:

Whaaaattttt?????? :scared1: :scared1:

I know a family from DD's school, the husband has a brother who lives in Sarasota and they had always been invited to stay. After several years umming and aahing (it wasn't lack of funds that made them dither) they finally went for a fortnight just before us. I know they spent a lot of their time with their relatives but they did stay a few days at the start and end of their holiday in a hotel on I Drive. They went to Seaworld, Busch Gardens and Wet'n'Wild, and reluctantly, yes reluctantly, went into MK on their last day. This was the only Disney park they went to and this was just so that their DDs who were 10 and 8 could say they had been to Disney. The girls loved it but the parents hated it, couldn't understand why they were not allowed to smoke, couldn't understand why they had to queue to meet the characters etc etc. They just did not get the Disney ethos at all.:confused3

When we came back they thought we were nuts for wanting to return!

ohhh... in the pub tonight i was saying... (as usual) "guess where i'll be in three weeks today?!?!" lol.... and got a "are you going to Disneyland... again? didn't you go last year?"...

er... yes?!?! and?!?! lol!

Most of the people already know that we are crazy :rotfl:
When I tell my class that there will be no lecture on a friday they ask. You are going to Paris again :goodvibes
YEPP ...and its okay.
Lately a friend called. She is teacher and the class wants to go to Paris and DLRP again. Some of the kids said.....thats only for young children...but she called and said...I heard you have been a lot of times so it MUST be very interisting for adults and older children :goodvibes

Greets Renate :wizard:

I always thought it was only people who hadn't been and experienced the magic that couldn't understand it, but there are people who've been and just don't get it. My boss told me about people she knew who went to DLRP and said it was just okay and that the castle was "naff"!!! When Mum and I were there a few weeks ago we were just staring at the castle saying how could anyone think it's naff??!!!

My uncle once asked why we'd want to go to Disney on holiday cos it's not real life!!! That's why it's so great, it's fantastic to get away from reality and just be happy all the time and not worry about anything - surely the point of a holiday is to get away from it all and at Disney you really can do that.

I think you and your mum are lovely! And I agree that it's great to get away from reality for a few days. I'm glad my daughter and I have that special bond that you appear to have with your mum. We just have a giggle at the people who don't understand our DLP addiction, we feel sorry for them.

Tia you're very sweet :goodvibes We are very close and I'm glad to hear you and your daughter are too - a lot of teenagers can think of nothing worse than spending time with their family, I'm glad that's not the case for you and your family. And where better to spend time together than in Disney?! :goodvibes

I must try to get some pics of us on here.. I'm checking all the threads to find instructions :confused3
