Hi All, I was just looking out of interest how much it would cost for 7 nights leaving approx boxing day next year and was gobsmacked to see that for me, DH and DD (16) would only cost £450 for all 3 of us in a nice off site or £500 total to stay in a Disney Value resort. The price doesn't include flights obviously which leads to my question, does anybody know if the flight prices are very expensive travelling at this time or are we best checking for a package offer near the time, would be great to still get the Xmas magic as we can't take time off where we work from end Nov upto Xmas.

TIA, Debs x :santa:

Been 5 times flying either Xmas day or Boxing day. Always managed to get something about £500pp for flights until last year, now they have gone thru the roof (as they have for August school hols also)
Last time(Xmas 08) we did a Virgin package £580pp incl 9 nights hotel (£1,740 for all 3 of us) exactly the same flights and hotel for next Xmas £2,983 (£994pp)

Its also the busiest week of the year in the parks, today (New Years Eve) they will have upto 6 hours lines for the popular rides.

If you do decide to go for it post what hotel you want and dates, £450 should get you a very good hotel, its a lot for a week in Orlando.

Thanks Wayne, ur like our fab Disney Bible!!!! I was looking through Complete Orlando staying at either Fairfield Inn or Disney All Star or similar. I thought the flight prices would bump it up a lot, silly me thought it might be a bit quieter that week as well! :rotfl: just had a look at C/O again and the Fairfield Inn where we have stayed prev is only £250 for the school week end of May for all 3 of us, again its expensive flights!!! I will look nearer the time as last year all 3 of us went in May for £1,194 inc flights and car hire, I'm just a very impatient person lol! :rotfl2:

Xmas thru New Year in Orlando is manic, 10 min car journey's take 30 mins, usual 5 min line for a burger takes 25 mins. Its a fantastic time to visit if you want to just admire the decs and take in the atmosphere, totally wrong time if you want to go on the rides. Some love Xmas over there some hate it.

It was the Fairfield we stayed at with Virgin Xmas 2008 for £580pp it was a great price for Xmas week.

We looked at May for our next trip but found better prices for Feb half term plus it was better for DS with his A levels, he has exams in May. Will probably be cooler but better for DMIL in her 70's.

Hi wayne, sorry for the delay and thank u for the info! My dd has exams in may too so wud only b able to go for 1 week then, I daren't luk at feb, already going to Disney Paris for my 40th on the 6th lol! We r going to WDW on 23rd aug for 2 wks so unless we c a really gud tempting offer I will try to b patient!

Ta again, Debs x:rolleyes:
