Disney After Hours in February

I am contemplating buying a couple of tickets for the After Hours at MK as a special evening for me and my granddaughter. Just wondering, we plan to be at AK during the day, then going to the MK party in the evening but we don't have the hopper option on our tickets. Will we need the hopper option added? or does the party just require the separate ticket on it's own?
