Disney After Hours Boo Bash

Saw this is replacing MNSSHP this year. Do we think they’ll still let DVC members in at 4pm like before?
Maybe. But the after hours event doesn't even start until 9:00, so between the later start and the anticipated need to maintain park capacity levels, I'm leaning towards NO. Ticketed guests will be allowed to enter the park at 7:00.

I thought with MNSSHP they allowed everyone in at 4 p.m. and DVC at 2 p.m. even though the party started at 7 p.m. That is what they allowed for the Christmas party. If they allowed the same early entry for a 9 p.m. party, wouldn't that be 4 p.m. for DVC?

I don't see a member discount for that, like we had with MNSSSHP. There's also no announced pricing, probably because "tickets go on sale next month" according to the main WDW website.

The new event is called Disney After Hours Boo Bash at Magic Kingdom Park

I think some people are looking at this as a replacement for the Halloween Party, but other people are looking at it as just a new After Hours event.

Were DVC members allowed in early for the After Hours (not Halloween party or Christmas party) events in the past?

This sounds like a hybrid of the two. It will be interesting to see what happens. At the least, I suspect that there will be a DVC discount (as there was for the After Hours parties). As to early entry, who knows. I believe park-hopping is allowed after 2pm, so I don't think that park reservations will affect early entry, if it is offered...

I'm glad they are offering something and will try for tickets.

That said, I will miss the MNSSHP shows, the fireworks and the parade. Was hoping those would come back. And still hoping for an end of the mask requirement by October.

Why would Disney have any incentive to offer mickeys not so scary if they find out the margins are better with the boo bash?

Will not be attending. Without the added shows, parades, and meet & greets, all you have left is candy and costumes. Because the above will be missing, lines for rides will be longer than in past after hour events.

We actually have a trip planned to be there for Halloween so we will definitely try get tickets for halloween night. I would be surprised if any discounts are offered but would certainly welcome one lol. I would prefer the MNSSHP with the parades and fireworks but will take what we can get. It mentions guests with certain hotel reservations will have first dibs, hoping our BLT DVC reservation will count for that.

We'll be there this summer and I'm considering it - the problem is our kids are still a little young and when we did MNSSHP a couple years ago, they fell asleep at 9 in the stroller, right after the first villains parade. If we can get them to nap, that would be great. But that's far from assured...
