Disney After Hours - AP tickets

I've been told a couple different things from cast members over the phone, so I wanted to check with the experts. Some members of my family/party are interested in attending an After Hours event in July. Both of my parents are AP holders, so I have a couple questions:

1. Can my parents buy the discounted tickets for all of those attending, or can they only purchase discounted tickets for themselves while everyone else's tickets are regular price?
2. If my parents can buy discounted tickets for the entire party, do they need to attend themselves?

What's weird is I can purchase multiple tickets and it brings me to the checkout screen. Yet the fine print says the following:



Price for Passholders
Item(s) are priced for Passholders only. For room reservations, you must show a valid adult Passholder ID at Resort check-in.

I'm leaning toward the fact that your parents can buy tickets for all of you and they don't have to be there

Thanks for the response. I suppose it doesn't hurt to attempt purchasing the tickets at the AP price and seeing how they link to the other accounts. Thanks

If you have an AP do you pay for parking when you are going to a special event or does free parking mean free parking at any of the parks with AP?

It would be rare for a guest who was attending an "after hours" event to arrive and park after the event began. (The events are expensive and time is short, already.)
Virtually all after hours events allow guests to enter that event during regular hours (and the AP already covers free parking during regular hours.)

It is also the case on most days that the parking lot pay stations would be shut down (left unstaffed) later in the day, so that any guest arriving later
in the day would not have to pay for parking, AP or not.

So, considering just those situations, sounds like an AP guest would be in good shape, parking fee-wise.

I can't answer for the DAH but I can answer for MNSSHP. We went a few years ago and our family was AP holders but not our friends and I was able to purchase the discounted rate for the additional 4 people. I hope that helps.
