I'm going to be host a Disney ABC Swap next month and had a come up with a couple questions that I thought I'd ask people who might be participating in the swap.
I'll review answer and post the official details on May 2.

Question 1. Would you like to to get page elements and put pages together yourself(each person would make a topper and 1-2 elements of thier choice)
Question 2. Get fully done 8x8 pages where all you would have to do is put a 4x6 photos in.
Question 3. Do you want it to be bazzill only or other?

Any other suggestions are welcome.

1. I prefer the topper and 2 elements & maybe some ribbon & brads.

2. fully done pages are great but when your making 15+ it can get really time consuming and alot of work. (I learned this from the ABC swap I hosted, each person had 2 letters to complete. We did a topper, journal box, tag and element of choice)

3. Bazzil paper is da bread and butter of scrappin! I love it, but find it hard to find. But I do know now of one store that sells it (thanks hopemax!). I'm good either way.

Thanks,

I would think that doing a full page would become a lot, I participated in one where you did a topper and 2 elements and included a 8x8 sheet of cardstock or pp that matched you elements, so technically i guess you weren't doing the full page, but cutting down 27 sheets of 8.5x11 sheets of cardstock seemed to take awhile.

Question 1. I would like each person would make a topper, photo mat, journal box amd a surprise element so it just about completes a page.

Question 2. Completed 8 X 8 pages get tricky because of page orientation but hte above items would pretty much be enough to make a page.

Question 3. If not Bazzill only then Bazzill or DCWV. I prefer textured cardstock.

1. Topper and elements only
2. I scrap 12 x 12 or 7x7 - CM don't do 8x8. Also, sometimes I do my pictures bigger or crop them smaller, depending how they fit on a page.
3. I love Bazzil and am completely addicted, but its not so easy to get over here and you often pay up to 60p ($1.20) per 12x12 sheet.

Still not sure if I will join this one as we might to DLC next - will it be WDW-specific or Disney general?

Hi! I'd rather do elements, too, for the reasons that everyone has stated. I think it would be more time consuming to do full pages. I love the Bazzill cardstock--I'm like Susie Stone, I like textured cardstock!

I'm getting excited for this one already! :yay:

I prefer elements. I love Brazzill cardstock but it is hard to get- I have to order it online and since I have only just started using it I don't always know the colors I need exactly and I can only see it online. I too like the heavier tectured cardstock but it would be much easier for me if it was Brazzil and DCWV- I would prefer to have something else to be able to use for accents than just Brazzil.

I'm looking forward to this one!

I'd prefer to not do a complete page. I like the idea of elements and a topper.
I am okay either way with including a sheet of paper to finish off the project. If we don't include the sheet, can a requirement be the brand and color of paper is noted? I am a stickler about matching and it is hard to guess!

I didn't realize I was lucky with my access to Bazzill paper. My LSS carries what seems like a million colors and textures. I prefer Bazzill paper (or other textured paper) but I can do without it too.

1) I would prefer elements.
2) I only scrap 12x12 so I would not want an 8x8 page.
3) I prefer bazzill but I have used others too.

I would just prefer the elements and I could include an 8X8 sheet if needed. But I like the freedom of being able to use a different size book if I want to. I am also a bazzil junkie!!!! I use it for everything already, so yes, I would be using it!!!! My LSS sells it for $.50 per sheet for 12X12 and its a great deal!!! I'm sure she would be happy to mail out orders to you!!!! She has tons of colors!!!! Her 8.5 X11 sheets are only $.30 per sheet!!!!

I prefer elements, too.

I would want the freedom of scrapping for other sized books, other than
8 x 8.

I use Bazzill for 99% of my elements. I get it online for 41 to 43 cents per 12 x 12 page with flat rate shipping. I do have several local stores who carry a lot of it, but I find it cheaper online. I prefer textured papers as well.

That being said, I don't know that I will have time to do this....it depends on the due date and requirements. Are you looking at a due date a month from sign-up or longer?

I get a lot of my Bazzill as grab bags or bargain packs so i don't always know the name of the colour (I wish they'd print it on really tiny in one corner!)

I've just looked at the pics of the last swap - there's some scarily beautiful work going on there! I am not worthy:worship:

This swap sounds great!:woohoo:

I would like to make elements instead of whole pages.:thumbsup2

I don't know about the Bazill paper. I used some really nice textured card stock for my rolodex. It cuts really nice. I don't know if it is Bazill I didn't see anything about it at the store. I bought it at Hobby Lobby and the colors are really nice too. I would probably buy it again for this swap depending on what I work on.

Does Hobby Lobby sell Bazill? Next time I go back I am not taking my kids so I can pay more attention to what I am buying!:rotfl2:

I think they have Bazzill.. Yep, there is no shopping w/ kids.. you are lucky if you get out of there with the right number of sheets when the kids are trying to help!!! :rotfl:

Because it's summer and I know everyone gets busy I was looking at a due date of July 31, and asking everyone to check in at the end of June.

It depends on your state, I live in Georgia and they don't. I wish they did, as I just got back from my LSS to get my spring stock and bought 100 sheets for $60

Everyone will pick their own word, It will probably be a mix of generic disney and wdw specific.

Our Hobby Lobbys here don't carry Bazzill. They do carry a nce textured cardstock....it's a little bit lighter weight.

I'm rooting for General Disney but am happy either way..

Can I please make the:teacher: letters :) I wanna use my new toy:rotfl2:
