Disney Abbreviations

I am overwhelmed by the number of users who use Disney "shorthand" and abbreviations that I just can't keep straight. Does anyone possibly have a list of common ones?

For example, what is DH and DW? I know they are husband and wife, but what is the D?

DH -- dear hubby
dw -- dear wife
dd -- dear daughter
ds -- dear son

I've always thought of it endearingly as "Disney" Daughter, Husband, Wife, or Son, etc. I guess they'd have to be just as crazy about Disney though, which in my family is the case.

Welcome......I've always had the impression that the D is for darling....as you post and read, you will get to know what they mean.

The use of the "D" is internet thing much like LOL. I was using it on other types of forums before I ever found the DIS, and you will find it used on forums for most every subject . On most forums it means Dear or Darling but here many assume it to mean Disney. Frankly I don't even "read" it -- my brain just translates it to Husband, Daughter, mother in law etc.
