Disney AAA Questions

I just booked a disney trip through AAA. I received a confirmation number, but if i call the poly they dont have the reservation. I was told AAA doesnt download the reservations until 3 weeks before the scheduled arrival date.

I asked my AAA agent if i would receive anything in the mail. she said I would get all the tickets etc via DHL 3 weeks before we left.

Does this sound right? Has anyone else has any experience with AAA booking?

I am going though AAA too. I was told I will get more info a month before we go. But I am also to get some stuff 45 days before we go, we leave in 114 days. My rep call the hotel to tell them what I wanted but my room was not there well now I know what I want and will have her call again. I do not know if this helps but my info was printed out right when I booked.

Yes, that is correct. You have your confirmation for now so when/if you plan on making any ADR's or any other bookings you just give them that number. We got our packet a little over a month before our trip that contained all of our info, including discount card, voucher for VIP lounge, and preferred parking pass. If you are flying you will get your magical express documents separately from the rest. Any other questions feel free to ask.

Has anyone had any exerience with AAA? would you recomend booking through them for the cost savings or is it safer to to book through disney or one of the other larger disney agents?

I was told AAA would not assist in making ADR, tours, etc.

Please let me know you experience, recomendations.

I just booked for the first time through AAA, found it very painless! And why not take advantage of the AAA discount, especially if you already have a AAA membership. I booked through them primarily because I could get the discount AND still get MYW plus dining.

They don't do your ADRs but I'm fine with that. I'd rather do my own, I know when/where I want to eat!

I didn't have any troubles with my trip booked through AAA. I did all of my business in person though because the office is close to my house. I don't know if there is a difference in service when you take care of everything over the phone.

I did not mind them not making ADR's at all because that is something I preferred to do myself anyway. I would book through them again if it meant getting the room discount and the dining plan.

We went with AAA too. We have saved over $200.00 They also offered us trip insurance though them or Disney. It is cheaper and better coverage though AAA. Even if we would buy the trip insurance we would still get money back fron the $200. we saved.

I priced it dirrectly through disney and through AAA.

AAA saved about %10 or $300.

One thing i noticed. When you book through disney they send you all kind of "cute" mailings park maps, trip planners, ect. Also it might have just been my AAA person but they werent very helpful. she booked what I asked for only, never asked any questions or gave any sugestions. The first quote she gave didnt include Park Hopper tickets. She never said anything about ADRs. If it wasnt for sites like this and books, I would have been unhappy with my vacation.

We also requested ajoining rooms - she said she would include it in the request. Im not sure if i would have had a better chance of getting this if I had booked through disney. I know disney says they will only take request for this and they can't guarantee this but what are you supposed to do if you want the kids to have thier own rooms. Hope they are close by?
