May I request a few changes to an existing card? From the completed thread, post #32, would you please change the color scheme to navy, red, and/or yellow to be used in a DCL book. Also, for the "Today we..." card, could it be made a little more cruise specific?

The colour changes are no problem I'll do the ears a brighter yellow and then use the red & navy on either the background or the border depending on what looks best. I can add in the DCL logo too.

Do you want just a blank one and one "today we" one?

For the "today we" changes, also no problem, but you'll need to supply the text you want. You can post your text on this thread. Up to 7 short sentences - use the ones on the current card as an idea of what will fit. Thanks! I'll wait until I hear back from you

Can't wait to see it! Those countdowns are super cute! You make your card at 300 dpi (dots per inch) so 4x6 needs to be 1200 x 1800 pixels or you can do a 3x4 which is 900 x 1200, a handier size if your original image isn't big enough for the first size. Most of the ones so far have been 3x4.

It's very cute & a wonderful idea... The dimensions are perfect! I think I can offer some advice if you'd like it?

I had a look at the original images on facebook, they are quite small and will blur a good bit when enlarged even to our small requirements. Generally you are better off not enlarging wherever possible - but obviously here you have to! You can get around this blur though by running a filter or two over the finished image, a canvas texture or the like. However I think that just by tweaking the text you will get away with the background as is...

The text is quite pixelated.... did you do the text on the smaller image and then enlarge the whole thing? A good way to get around a blurry background is to make sure the text is crisp as the text draws the eye. So here you would enlarge the background to your required size first and only then do the text, Waltograph on 200 pt size fits your text size well. Try and always get the image to its final size before doing text and then the crisp text will make it look splendid!

I hope you don't mind those tips, it's fab to see new cards & new ideas coming in, keep 'em coming!
