Disney 3x4 and 4X6 journaling cards *accepting requests*

Chasingmarcus -

Very cute on the Cheshire cat! Keep up the good work!

Oh Roni so great! :thumbsup2 I have the perfect pics to use these with!

So everyone - sure would love to see how you guys are using the cards. Do you do digital or traditional layouts?

Tiggergalttfn: planning to print out a bunch of these and journal what I can each night in the hotel. Hoping to get DH to do some as well. I know once we print our pictures I will have to do many more and I'll probably need a bunch of filler cards since there will be tons of photos and lots of empty 3x4 slots. I'd like to try to hand write everything and keep it simple. That is the plan right now but it is rare I actually stick with simple! Lol when I did project life I made it as complicated as possible. I created each card digitally, uploaded my photos, added them to a digital layout so I could see how it looks, printed each card and cut it out, and finally went to an actual camera store to print my photos before adding a hard copy to my actual page protector. Phew! It's no wonder I didn't stick with it! For a simple memory keeping method it was very complicated and time consuming. Hoping that by simplifying I will actually complete a nice big Disney album! I'm really having fun making the cards and love how everything will be so very Disney! I will add additional inserts for park maps and other goodies we collect. I'm hoping to scrap a few pages digitally as 12x12 layout a and I'll add those as inserts as well. I like that I'll have the option to scrap if i want but can still complete a really fun and personalized album, journaling included, without it. What are your plans?

Iloveeliot.... Here are your Chefs de France cards, I couldn't get a clean extraction of the logo so I decided to go a different direction and built you your very own entrance to the restaurant (I studied some online photos!) for your card :) Your little guys went perfectly with it, thank you for them! Hope you like it! As always, if I have completely missed the boat with this idea, let me know and I'll redesign as I know this is one of you favourite places :wizard:

I'm guess all you guys are in a different timezone to me as I always wake to lots of chat to catch up on, it's fun :)

Hopefully the link works, I am not the best at posting pictures. I look forward to making some more.
Thank you so much for the tip on changing a gif format picture. It worked!

In photobucket you can get a thumbnail image code which will allow you to post a thumbnail image of your card for easier browsing. You do have to set up the option to get the thumbnail code. I totally don't remember where the option is.

Delighted that worked for you Chasingmarcus, your Cheshire Cat is adorable! To turn the thumbnails on in photobucket: You need to click on your user settings -> album settings & switch it on.

Also if you click on "Turn on Easy linking mode" while you're copying the bulk of the thumbnail details then you can do it all from one page instead of clicking in & out of each one.

I am going to give Goofy's Kitchen a go for you, are you going to give the others on your list a go now that you are rocking the gif conversions or are there any particular ones you'd like us to try? If you are doing some of them can you post an updated list of the ones you'd like any of us to claim?

Pixiesprite and anyone looking at these cards: I'd love feedback on my shadow. This was my first try at a shadow on its own layer and distorted. I tried so hard to get it looking right. If anyone could PM me some constructive crticism that would be great! It was hard!

Iloveeliot, I like your shadow. Big distortions are hard to get right (they frighten me!) but I think it works really well. And because Sully's horns are so much further apart & bigger in the shadow his shadow-self looks very scary! Which is just perfect for the movie, so 10 gold stars for you :)

tiggergalttfn I print 8x8 digipages & slip them into albums so I just use the cards on my digi layouts. DS is napping & I have a nice cup of tea so I might see if I can throw together a sample of what I like to do. It's a far better way to spend my morning break than mopping the floor :)

Pixiesprite- Yes I think we are on different time zones lol I am in Michigan but work nights so probably getting off when you are about 1/2 way thru your day :) Would love to see your layouts. Will be fun to see our cards in use!

How cute! I love the door idea!!

So I did some traditional 3x4 of the TS ones -

Also was playing with some ideas of "best ride/attraction" type journal card -

What do you guys think?

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. Their dance is jazz...the studio name is Dream Dance Studio...their main studio color is purple and their costumes are hot pink. Hope this helps...let me know if you need anything else.
Thank you!

Quoting myself... how vain :) This is a quick sample of the style of page I do, and how I use the cards. Please note... it's a really rough unfinished page with some crazy placeholder colours (blue card... I'm looking at you!!), no elements/stitching etc. I didn't do all that as DS is about to wake up :) My floor remain unmopped, oops! But it gives you a pretty good idea of how I use the cards in my digiscrapping!

Aww thanks a lot! I love it so much! Thanks you again :goodvibes

I have to correct the spelling on this when I get home. Please wait on printing or saving it until it is corrected. Thanks and sorry for the error.

Splendid idea... you could do planning ones too for ADRs etc. :)

Thank you!

I've just pm'ed you a quick question asims :)

Wow! you guys are so encouraging! I feel so clueless when I was doing things. It took me about 2 hours to get done, but I thought it was cute when I finished. I did type in the Alice font on it, "were all mad here".

Thank you for the instructions on how to make them smaller. I am off to figure out how to do that now.

As far as my other cards, the character cards have been easier for me because I have been able to find pictures that are easy to put in them, but why don't I take them off the table, and if I need help I can give a shout out? If you have already started one of them, please I would LOVE it, I just don't want to cause extra work for anyone. I have not personally started any yet, but I hope to do one a day or so.

I LOVE the monsters inc one. In California Adventure there is a Monsters Inc Ride, (I am not sure if there is one in WDW?). It is one of my daughters favorites. At the end, Roz interacts with the car and says something to a lucky person. We have to ride it until Roz says something to my daughter. So much fun!

I'm working on that Goofy's Kitchen one this evening so I should have that for you later today/tomorrow :) Tell you what... have a look around & if there are any on your list that you can't find logos or designs for, I'd be happy to help out with those cards! 'Tis no extra work... it's all fun and a nice way to spend a teabreak :)

Would you still like me to work on the cars cards? Either way is fine. Just let me know! Thanks and keep designing!

Chasingmarcus, here's Goofy's Kitchen, enjoy :thumbsup2

Thank you!

asims, here is your dancing card, I hope you like it! Please let me know if it's completely not what you wanted :) There is only one version of this card - with no journalling lines as the journalling lines did not look great with the dancer logo.

I fixed the Monsters Inc card and removed the old link. If you downloaded it the image might be gone. Please download the corrected version. Thanks!

I've got a bit of a random collection for you all today, courtesy of my DH who has made it his mission to come up with unusual journal card requests :) Technically non-Disney cards, but these are all about getting there! Might be of use to some of you...

If any of you have a favourite shop or method of transportation that you associate with your Disney trip & you'd like a card, let me know!

What about the World of Disney or Lego store to go along with the Downtown Disney cards?

These cards are great by the way! I just decided to try a Project Life book for our last trip to Disney World and these are going to make it look amazing!! Thanks!!!
