Disney 2009 Planner

Sure is pricey! But sounds very cool. It would be neat to actually look through. :)

I wouldn't hold my breath!!!! That book was on pre-order at B&N for July release last year. Then it was moved again. Jennifer Marx has not returned my last email requesting info. Passporter.com has not had their usual pre-order before release. They are currently doing a pre-order for a different book for an April release. The dates of Borders and B&N are 2 weeks different for release of book. I just don't see it happening! I could be surprised, but the evidence suggests NOT!

Were the past years Passporters the same price? I know last years (or 2007s?) wasn't nearly as big as the WDW one. I can't imagine one that small being that much.

According to their website, "PassPorter's Walt Disney World 2009 is now in stock and shipping the next business day!" but for DLR it still says "Our 2009 edition will be released in late 2008 -- pre-orders will open soon."

I always think it's funny when book-makers get twitchy about amazon etc having different release dates. Amazon gets their info DIRECTLY from the publisher, they don't make things up, LOL. :)

FWIW, that edition is the fancy schmancy refillable edition. You keep the outer stuff and then can order new "innards" from p'porter as they update things.

To my knowledge, they have only done the one DLR Passporter. It was in the $20 range. That price seems hokey on Borders. The listing showed a picture of the deluxe, with the price that I think the deluxe would be, with a picture of the paperback. If you look at the thread from the last week or two about the Passporter, you can see the steps that I had taken to get a copy for our vacation from last Oct. One of the authors, Jennifer Marx, even offered me an e-copy of it so that I would have it by my vacation (because they had changed the release date from July to Oct.), but she never sent it nor replied to a subsequent email. The original was a good book, but I really don't like it when a company keeps changing their dates. It doesn't look good and makes me want to take my business to a reliable place. Since their web store still has not had a presale, I don't think it will be release straight to other stores. They usually have their own presale before the book comes out.

BTW, the only DLR edition is from 2006.

Bumbershoot, the response I got from Jennifer Marx was that they had told the booksellers that the date had changed to Oct. B&N had a release date of July (I think 18), 2008. I pre-ordered in June. When B&N canceled my order about 3 months later, that is when I emailed Jennifer Marx. I find it amusing that Borders says Feb. 17, and B&N says Jan. 28.

That's the deluxe version, I think. I have a deluxe binder, and then just buy the yearly refills for each trip.

I'll believe the DL version is being released when I get an email from Passporter telling me that they're taking preorders. Until then, I'll wait.....
