Hi I noticed alot of people are going to WDW next year like me :cool1:

What do you all do in the year up to your holiday to plan it?

I am already buying clothes for our trip next year, got some $$$$$$, and planning on doing the MNSSHP.

Are you all like me and live and breath Disney? :Pinkbounc

I am in the early stages on planning my holiday so I'm looking at ticket sites, and working out if its better to go for an 'unpackaged holiday' or just go to Thomson or Thomas Cook. A friend of mine last year got flights, hotels etc separate and saved a fair bit.

But in the runup to the holiday I expect we'll all watch some classic Disney films like Snow White, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland and some of the pixar films :) Fantastic films. Probably watch Nightmare Before Christmas too (I love that Villains shop at MGM!)

Yes very much like you, we've been planning this trip for 18mths already, started counting wks from about 37 now we're down to 23 and I just can't wait the excitement is too much. We also are almost ready with new clothes and purchased our disney tickets last wk. ::MickeyMo

We are booked for december 2007, so far I have sorted the flights, pop century and dining plan.

Im now looking into tickets, and airport hotels for gatwick.

Next up will be this years trip, after that I will know if I had any spare dollars and then I will start saving for next year

I'm booked for last week of Jan, first week of Feb '07.. am waiting patiently for the 2007 Unofficial Guide to come out before i make any huge plans ;)

i have been planning our trip since we returned last year, so have been planning for a year already......lol, so far we have a villa booked and I'm hoping to get some flights sorted soon, then i will wait until we are back from DLP before doing anything else. I just tend to read as much info as i can and book things like tickets, car hire etc as the year progresses and i have the money

Hi

I have already booked our accomodation for next Dec and cant wait to start planning. I have asked my dh to buy me a universal ticket for xmas and as soon as I come back from DLP I will be starting our budget. I cant wait for the planning to begin. I am so busy trying to get things organised for our DLP camping trip. All I can say is bring on Dec 07.

I have just started planning for our first trip next october! Its a lot of work having to decided on what attractions interest us and what ADR we want, and then having to plan around them.

Really looking forward to our trip though.

LOL im always planning, even when I havent got a holiday planned(which is rare!).

I love disney so much I even started working for the company over 3 years ago, so i get to talk disney all day with people as well as play with toys and watch and listen to all things disney.

and to make the job even better I get some lovely discounts!!!!
Ive got less than 5 weeks now to go, and being at work makes me so excited, as im surrounded by disney everywhere.

Yes, Lora, I live and breathe Disney too. Spending time on the boards every day helps my obsession, especially since I started taking part in the quizzes each month. I also read pretty much anything Disney that I can get my hands on.

Er ... nope :)

Although I am in the process of planning our Orlando holiday for August '07, I'm not living and breathing Disney, Orlando and America yes, Disney no.

We won't be staying onsite or having dining plans, arranging ADR's or character meals. We'll just goto whatever offsite restaurant we fancy or cook at the villa. I'm more interested in getting the best car hire deals, looking at the exchange rate, working out how much tickets will cost and working out how to get the most into 23kg suitcases for the return journey :thumbsup2

We are booked for Feb 07 as I will be celebrating my 40th birthday over there.
Have already booked the birthday package at Discovery Cove followed by the Pitate and Princess party on my birthday. Busy trying to plan which parks we will be doing on other days even with 6 months to go! :Pinkbounc

Booked for October 2007 so finding out as much info as possible so when we hit the 180 day mark I can ring up and book ADR's, MNSSHP tickets etc. Planning on how to surprise DH as its our 25th wedding annivesary and just generally getting excited. Already bought a number of things CROCS for instance, tried them out and now have to buy some more for the rest of the family. I'm so excited already.

I think i enjoy the planning about as much as i enjoy the holiday!!! :rotfl: (well maybe not quite as much!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: )I just booked in July for our Jan-Feb florida holiday in 2007, i think we will be there the same time as you howard, where are you staying?? We also have a short xmas break planned to DLP, when we get back from florida in Feb, i give it three weeks before i haved booked us DLP again while i wait for BA to launch there winter 2007 - spring 2008 broucher!! We went in Jan this year and by the middle of feb i booked DLP then we were back from there a month and a bit and i booked for Florida!!! :cool1:
I would say i am well and truely addicted :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: and i dont want to be cured!!!!! :smokin:

Going 15th December 2007 - 3rd January 2008.

I've been there before for Christmas Day, but not New Years Eve, so I cannot wait for that :cool1:

We're staying in Pop Century. Have stayed in all the All Stars, but not Pop so am looking foward to a different bus route 'home' every night :sunny:

489 days to go!!!!

Wideeyes - noticed you will be at AKL and Poly in 2007, that is the combo I was thinking of for our next and 2nd visit (possible in about 4 years time  ). Determined to return even though we haven't been for the first holiday yet. ;)

My daughter picked the AKL and I picked the poly however my dd has now decided she wants to stay at the grand floridian instead! She likes that the lobby looks like the "Pink Hotel" at Disneyland Paris. She saw it on the planning DVD. She obviously thinks she's a princess. :rotfl:

This holiday is the hardest thing I have ever had to plan.

Very nice choice your daughter has made. We stayed at the DH in Oct 2004 so I don't think I would consider staying at GF as its does look similar but is in reality probably quite different! What do I know, never been to WDW! But romantic walks along the beach at the Poly appeal (even though we'll have 2 teenagers in tow).
Know what you mean about planning - which parks, what days, to enable you to decide where to eat, what extras to purchase, MNSSHP tickets, cirque etc. oh but I'm having such a good time doing it. I've learned so much from these boards its been invaluable, dread to think what could have happened or not happened had I not found all this info.

Me and my bf are going next September.. I've really thrown myself into planning. Having some uni issues lately and so the coming academic year may be very trying for me so this holiday is something to look forward and I feel like I need that right now. I'm trying to hold fire on booking so I can price up VA flights. VH seem to have good deals on packages with the flying club discount but booking separately may still be cheaper.

I'm also going next september and am desperate to book something but am also holding out for VA flights. I actually want to book seperatly because hopefully there will some great deal on disney hotels again next september in the form of a discount, free nights or free dining. I'm also hoping to get miles and money fares with VA, but if not I'm not worried about flights as there is still loads of availability with VA for THIS september
