I booked a 14 night package through Virgin that included the 14 day ultimate ticket. We will be checking in on Nov 8th and checking out on Nov 22nd.

My question is if we go to a park on the day we arrive will we still be able to go to a park on our departure day as this technically will be the 15th day?

No. You have 14 days from the first day of use. As you stated, Nov. 22 will be your 15th day...your tickets have expired. :sad2:

I've been wondering exactly the same thing as we arrive on the 8th & leave on the 22nd as well.
I've seen a few posts on here that seem to indicate that you should be able to access parks on the arrival & departure days.

Incorrect, the UK ultimate 14 day tickets work for 14 days after being activated, in reality working for a 15 day period, only exception to this is if you use for 14 consecutive days, people have posted it does not work on the 15th day. Personally I have never tried using 14 consecutive days to find out.
14 day Ultimates work for 15 days, 21 day Ultimates for 22 days.

Worked like this for many years, relatives used theirs for 15 days in August.:thumbsup2

Saying that if you are on a 14 day holiday very few people want to enter a park both the first day and last day.

Thanks Wayne, that's what I thought.
There's no way that we will be in parks every day but we are planning on heading straight to the MK once we have checked in to OKW.
We have a late flight back on the 22nd & may want to grab a last piece of the magic before we leave. :)

There is always the chance this will come to an end. Once you have activated your ticket goto guest services and ask what date your ticket expires.

In all the trips we have done we have only gone into a park (MK) twice on arrival day, once on Xmas day and once this year on July 3rd (July 4th fireworks are shown on 3rd & 4th) Even arriving on an early direct flight for me its not worth the hassle, you are still on UK time(+5 hours) plus tired from travelling so not as enjoyable as it sounds but it is possible.

Pretty much the same here. We don't arrive until around 5:30pm but are planning to go to Magic Kingdom after we've checked in at AKL.

Our flight is also late on the last day so would be go to see a few things before we leave.

Thanks for the responses :)

We always grab an early night on arrival day. Quick bite to eat at the hotels quick service ready for an early start the next day. Never crossed my mind to head straight out!

I've only done a park arrival day once and thoroughly regretted it we were battered. Tried to use the ticket for 15 consecutive days and couldn't get into MK our last day. That is day 15. Now, that said they actually let us in :), but the ticket didn't work.

on arrival night we go to the pool to recover from the flight
half an hour in the water'sure helps to recover from those hours seating on a plane
heading for the park on arrival day ... no ...

From personal experience you can use 14 days over a 15 day period with the Ultimate tickets.

As for heading for a park on arrival. If you land off a 5.30pm flight you will not be checked in until at least 7pm. AKL to MK is a 25 minute bus ride plus waiting time for the bus so you are looking at not reaching MK till 7.45 - your body will think its 12.45am!

We have visited park on arrival however it is usually when we are staying in a resort that is within walking distance. BLT we walk to MK and the Epcot resorts we have walked to Epcot.

Whilst it easy to think you are just sitting on a plane all the day its still surprising tiring - and with the time difference you will be up early the following day so you might want to consider taking an easy evening around the resort. :goodvibes

I've always wanted to try using our tickets on the 15th day but I couldn't bear the disappointment of being turned away at the gates!! Maybe next trip i'll put it to the test... :)

Once you have activated your ticket you can call at any guest relations and ask what date your ticket expires.
Just once we got an awkward old man that would not give us a date, all he kept saying was 21 days after you activated it. All others have scanned the ticket and given us a date.
