Disney 12x12 ABC Page Swap/MAW:COMPLETE

Wow BAMB! You have a lot to do! Thanks so much for posting.

I wanted and album for each kid. Now I'm trying to decide if I should just do this last trip for them or a combo of all of our trips.

I have all my pages sorted and kitted. Celebrate is together, I just need to do the title.

I'm going to do a master for each page so I can cut letters this week. Then I'm going to pack it all up and do them at SDV.

Sounds like a good plan. I did most of my pages a little bit at a time over the course of the summer. Now I am at the point where I need a few hours of everybody leave mommy alone time so I can spread my stuff out and assemble them. School starts Sept 8th:thumbsup2

DS8 opted to go to private school so I have 4 start dates.

DS8 - 8/30

DS14 - 8/31

DS9 - 9/1

DD4 - 9/8

I'm ready for them to go back!!!

Ladies -- I have a giant favor to ask. We are headed to the world in a few days :cool1:. I intend to take the list of topics with me. I want make sure I get the right photos. If you haven't posted a layout yet but you have your page planned, can you let me know what orientation the photos will be? Horizontal, vertical or square. I'd really appreciate it!

My I love disney layout has 2 vertical 4x6 spots, my Disney nights spot has 1 horizontal 4x6 and 2 squares.

I hope I'm not too late. A=Autographs 2 Horizontal Photos (4.5 x 5)
O=Out of this World 2 Horizontal Photos (4.5 x 5)
F=Favorite 2 Vertical Photos 4 x 6
Z=Zipped Up & Heading home 2 Vertical Photos 4 x 6

Have a great trip!

My kiddos start tomorrow.
My parents leave on Thursday.
Friday morning I get to start swap making in earnest. :cloud9:

:cool1: ZTH and PBF I will be looking out for the box. And btw very very sweet of you to do the little extra for the MAW. It will be no problem to sort out. Best part my Mom is here visiting so she will get to see some of the examples of the BIG project. I was going to pull them out tomorrow to show her, but I will wait now until you all's box arrives, so she can really understand what a "swap" is.

Susan-sorry I missed your post when you were asking for the page orientation-here's mine...

Shopping & X Marks the Spot-horizontal 4 x 6
Characters & Walt Disney-vertical 4 x 6

Have a great trip!!!

I'm checking in for Friday...same as before...three down, one to go!! I will post the last picture as soon as I have it ready. Also, I will then post the final versions of the Y and W pages!!

I finished group A, letter I today. That makes 3 sets complete. The last set is at the assembly stage.

:cheer2: We are officially postal! :cheer2:

Just wanted to let you gals know that I received them today. Absolutely stunning:goodvibes. The 2 special MAW album pages for Pin Trading and the $ for the MAW album pages really WOWED my Mom and I. She was very impressed with them.

Need some help.

This prototype is not glued together. THe squares open up so you can journal or add photos inside. The Fireworks will have stickles on them and the middle one will be slightly larger than the other 2. Since the 12x12 sheet is paper, I will mount it on cardstock.

I have everything cut - -all the FW, the mats are assembled, the words are glued together. The black piece for the FW to sit on is cut. The boxes are cut and folded, but the top layer is not on yet.

I feel like it needs something. I could add ribbon tabs to the boxes. Brads to the mats. Any ideas? Or am I overthinking this?

I think it's just perfect as is. That's why sometimes it says you have to double this or triple that just makes it look cluttered.
Sorry if I've hurt anyone feelings. It's just MY opinion.

Just jumping in but it looks like you could possibly to a big firework on the bottom and use some foam tape stuff to pop it out a bit

Susan, what if you put the two yellow squares on one larger red rectangle and embellish one side with some brads or eyelets?

Thanks! I too am concerned with keeping a nice balance between embellished and cluttered.

Good idea! I tried it and didn't like it -- it made it unbalanced. Thanks for posting. Are you thinking of joining in on one of our swaps? It's fun!

Hmmm...I did cut all of the boxes, but I may give this a try. I'll need to see if I have enough paper.

Susan you could try moving the 2 bottom squares a little more towards the bottom of the page to fill in a little bit of that area and open up some between the 2 different square sizes. It might feel better to you or not.
