Trip Report Last day 24th December 2007 (last day in the park)

We had the early breakfast shift again and this morning they were playing Christmas Carols at breakfast, it made us all very sad as we absolutely did not want to leave but we did want to make the most of the 2 hours we could get in the park before our train at 10.40.

We checked out and took our suitcases across the village to the train station. Left luggage very easy to find (located on the first floor) it was 9.50(eur) per locker and you will get 1 large and 2 medium sized suitcases and 3 backpacks in one locker!!!
They were very friendly and very helpful.

This was I must say the coldest day by far it was bitter! We went into the park and did the carousel, flying elephants, peter pan and orbitron(?!) then hubby and bro got another go on Space Mountain before we sadly decided to head for the station.
My husband having an “extreme” carousel experience:

CDG train is “Lille Europe” and it couldn’t have been easier, found it straight away platform easy to get down, very quick journey on the train to CDG (Terminal 2F which incidentally happened to be ours!) airport very well signposted from train station (just keep going up the escalators!) and we found the board that said where to chck in (it’s called a zone, air france Birmingham was Zone 11) and then it was gate 43, again very clearly signposted…and then we were on our way home.
My husband Paul was very chuffed he seems to have a shop at CDG named after him….

To sum up, great holiday, very very busy in the parks, but if you plan in advance you can fit everything in! We were very lucky with the weather it may have been very cold, but it all added to the atmosphere and it was beautiful and clear everyday.

Little disappointed at the usual rudeness of many of the guests hardly any of the CMs seemed to speak English this year and a lot of them were very grumpy not the usual! When it comes to shows and parades noone appears to be feeling the Disney magic and I am sure Disney should get some cut off point in mind rather than just constantly filling up the park-the way it was after the parade that one night I am surprised there aren’t more accidents it was pretty scarey.

But in all honesty these are minor glitches compared to the little moments of magic and fun and laughter we experienced over those three days and roll on May when I go back!!!

Merry Dismas everyone!

A fantastic trip report, loved your photos :thumbsup2

Shame about the non-Disney like behaviour of some :sad2: thank goodness it didn't spoil the trip for you.

And I see you already have a new countdown!! Yay!!! :yay: :wizard: :yay:

The 'rudies' are in a minority, but they are shocking when you meet them. On our first day (in fact our first ride) we went on POTC and went to the row number indicated by the CM. However the 2 women who were also on that row didn't want to share. I realised as I got on, that there wasn't enough space for my daughter , skinny as she is, becasue these 2 women left a huge space on the other side of them. So I asked, with gestures, if they could move up and they shook their heads and indicated that my daughter could get out and sit in a different row to me. The CMs were just about to start the ride, so I was scared that if she withdrew her foot (she was half in, half out of the boat) we would go without her. Anyway, there was plenty of room, they just didn't want to move so I said "you need to MOVE!" but still they shook their heads. Well, I'm as full of pixie dust as anyone at Disney, but I was getting scared for my daughter, so I just heaved sideways and moved them myself with 2 hefty swipes of my hips then plonked my daughter down next to me. It was a horrid start to the trip, but a rare incident fortunately.

Okay, confession time. I hope those 2 women didn't want to buy their on-ride photo, as there was a rather irate mama sitting next to them making a rude gesture to them. :rolleyes1

OMG, this is absolutely appalling behaviour. :sad2: (I mean the two women's behaviour, not yours!!) Thank goodness incidents as bad as this are rare.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Oh how rude of them! When things like that happen I don;t mind losing my temper for a quick second because i get over it, it bothers me that kids might see it and that's not what Disney is about!

would loved to have seen that photo though :rotfl:

Not much can spoil Disney for me, even when I have been and it has been heaving it down with rain...it's not till i look back at the photos and think, oh it was raining??? do i even notice it!

Oh yes indeed booked to go back in May and we want APs but am undecided as to whether to get 1 Dream AP and 1 of us become a shareholder or 2 Dream APs?? choices choices, so that query will be up on the boards pretty soon.:lmao:

Brilliant reports - I've read each one, fantastic photies too   !
