Disliking split bathrooms

Split baths are 100% made for families. It's nice when you have younger kids to be able to have them have access to the toilet when were showering because they can't plan ahead and need it immediately.

The split bathrooms on DCL are great. They're not only for families. I love having them when sailing as a couple.

I like that two people can get ready and brush their teeth, etc. at the same time in separate bathrooms. I also like that when traveling as a couple, each person can put their toiletries in one bathroom, keeping them separate.

And even solo, it's nice having a shower in a separate area.

Or couples who don't like to have someone use the facilities while the other person is in the shower. I view the split bathroom as no different than using the downstairs bathroom when my husband is in the shower or vice versa.

Hubby and I haven't cruised in several years but have always had the split bath setup. It has pros and cons but we make it work. After 6 years of sharing a very small bathroom I seriously thought a bit of booking concierge level 1 BR for the 2 of us. Hubby thought the cost was nuts for 2 people until I brought it would have 2 full bathrooms.:hyper2: We decided it was too costly for a week long cruise, but it was tempting. :joker:

We love the split bathrooms, and divide things into his/hers for sink usage. Never had an issue with space, as opposed to the Celebrity cruise we took with a single bathroom where neither of us could sit on the commode without having one foot in the shower.
