Hey Girlies Long time no chat.Hope you all are doing wellI have been away from posting for a loooooooong time,but I am going to try and be less of a stranger.My Disney trip has been pushed back to next October,we were supposed to go in April.But......the great thing is that we are staying onsite for the very 1st time.....WOOHOO....come on girls celebrate with me..... Sick I caught this stinkin cold chris and I came back from WDW with AGAIN! and it's worse this time! I was miserable with a runny/stuffed nose last night and sore throat. Right now my glands just seem to be swollen and I'm sneezing like I was yesterday at work. It's like, it feels like a cold but it feels like the flu at the same time. This is the oddest cold I've ever had.

I'm sorry to hear about your cold. I hope you feel better.

oh, there's also apparently going to be a hot air balloon...
which will probably cost a fortune to ride...
and I heard there is one in Disneyland Paris that hardly ever gets off the ground because of the weather. And they actually think the concept will work IN FLORIDA!?

More stores all the better to take your money. That's the bottom line unfortunately.

Exactly! There's plenty of shops in DTD for sure! I think the way they had it before was great. You had to pay at the gate and be over 21 to get into PI. Otherwise you couldn't just walk around there. They made a huge mistake opening it up to just leisure people walking through with their kids.

The hot air balloon might work at DTD....they're actually very popular in Florida and there are LOTS down there. I don't think I'd ever utilize it if they put one at DTD though. Sounds like a waste of $. Kind of like the Richard Petty driving experience thing.

DTD is free at Disneyland it always has been. My guess is because DTD is in between the resort hotels and the parks and it is in between the parking lot areas and the parks also. It is just shops and dining with a cool open bar. And the Monorail.

I didn't really get to read back at all. Can someone fill me in if I missed anything?

Okay...I'm the WORST person to fill in. I don't remember what happened 5 minutes ago.

I think you know about my having to go to Beaumont (TX) next week already. Blah!

LeeLee is okay after the storm...she had a little bit of damage and she is planning on climbing on the roof (to get a suntan perhaps ) so we all told her to be safe!

Carla is planning a new trip...possibly Disneyland, possibly a land and sea package.

Trent hasn't been feeling good and his medicine caused him to act up a bit in school so Sharky has been dealing with that. Meanwhile she got meds from the doctor so he'll have them if he needs them at WDW!

Adventurer's Club is closing down and I really wish I could find a way to make it there this weekend for the final Hoopla! But alas, that will not happen.
Hopefully they will relocate the club to the new night-time spot that is supposed to be created.

Uh...I don't remember what else. See, I told you I'm bad at this.

You know that they will use the blah blah blah excuse about family friendly. This from a family person. There are no places that I can think of that are just for grownups at Disneyland. I mean they are better for grown ups but kids are not excluded. And honestly we need more of those. There is a time and a place for families and where they sell alcohol is not a place for kids.

The same thing happens to me if I try to curl my hair. I made the mistake of curling it before our Poly photo session last week, sprayed it with hairspray all over, and of course it all fell out before we even got there.

All right on the Hotel!!! I have a days worth of pics on our trip last year that my hair is just SICK on because I got the bright idea of curling it that day. for now on when I go on vacation and want curly hair Im sticking with a hair piece!! I got addicted after my sister bought me some after I had Braeton and all the surgeries. I had a big bare spot in my head and the hairpiece covered it. then it got more convenient to use the hair clip or scrunchie pieces on those early A.M, app. i don't have any good ones right now but I think I will buy one for the next trip and then people can look at my hair in envy and wonder how I keep it looking so good!!!

Hi LeeLee, I've been lazy a lot lately and AWOL so I'm always catching up it seems. I hoe the check up goes well for B!!! I'm sure it will. How is DH? Is he doing okay? I am sure Tyler is fine but you know have to mention him too. Hope you are all doing great. Did you have any damage at your house from the hurricane? You may have already posted that but as I said I've been missing a lot and can't seem to catch up!

Tyler is doing pretty good. thanks for asking about him! Everyone always ask about DH and B for obvious reasons. its sweet for you to think of T!! DH is struggling along. As aggravated as I can get at that man, as we all can at our husbands, I declare he is one of the strongestmen I know. He just keeps going even when there seems no way for him to last another second. He has been a big help with all this mess. Although he can't physically do a lot he has been helping me with the boys and even been helping me with housework while I'm cleaning up YIKES mess!

Wow! I found the story of what happened due to the hurricane. I'm sorry you went thru all that but thank God you didn't go up in flames from using your electric! Glad that the habit guy made the power company come out and fix you up. Great job in his part. It's always something isn't it? You poor thing and you just roll with it, you are an amazing woman!

Yes I am so thankfull. Did I post that friends of ours in La lost their entire house in a fire due to the power after IKE coming on on half power?? I think I did but my brain isn't functioning too good right now. Not that it ever does but at least I got a good excuse right now!!!

it's quiet here too! not a bad thing though. Tomorrow I will be getting my re-certification for CPR/AED from 8-12. It expired as of this month. (AED is Automatic External Defribrillator---we have one in the hallway and several of us have to be certified to use it)

What do you do?? I can't recall if you've ever mentioned that.

All right on the Hotel!!! Sharky~ Don't you sweat that doctor at all! Abby had pnuemonia 4 times last year and several other complications due to her asthma. We even see a pediatric pulmonolgist every 6 months. Never, ever, have I had a doctor make me feel like I am not controlling her asthma well enough. A whole year with no attack! You are doing a good job being proactive with it! If I were in your shoes I'd mention to your regular doctor that you did not like the way she spoke down to you... especially since she just met you and never even saw Huey before. There is no excuse for her to talk to you like you are some deadbeat parent.

Man, that just got me all fired up!
