Dishwasher recomendations

I have a Whirlpool and have always been very happy with it. My Mom has a Maytag. . . and I hate hers. It's not so much about how they get the dishes clean, they both do. I just prefer the rack set up in my Whirlpool. I think they call it their "Tall Tub" design. It makes it really easy to load and it's pretty adaptable. Now my SIL has a newer Bosch, and man is that thing quiet! Again I don't like how the racks are set up though. And their's always kind of stinks (which probably has nothing to do with the dishwasher itself, but maybe what they put in it, or the soap they use . . .).

I hate our Whirlpol Gold. It's seven years old, so maybe they make better ones now. It's super quiet but just doesn't clean well at all! We're in the market for a new one too even though there's technically nothing wrong with this one.

I had a Whirlpool and didn't like it. It didn't clean very well and on my model the silverware basket didn't have a flat bottom. I loved that it was in the door but it wouldn't stand up on the counter when I took it out to put the silverware away. So annoying.

I have a Bosch now that I like. It cleans very well and is very quiet. The silverware basekt comes out on mine and does have a flat bottom.

interesting!! I rented a house without a dishwasher!!

I have to find a rolling hook it up to the sink kind of dishwasher !! And I haven't seen one since I was 12 years old!! and was when I actually had to hang laundry!! And the jeans use to freeze stiff and were freeze dryed!! Like 1960's coffee!!

I have to find a rolling hook it up to the sink kind of dishwasher !! And I haven't seen one since I was 12 years old!! and was when I actually had to hang laundry!! And the jeans use to freeze stiff and were freeze dryed!! Like 1960's coffee!!

This is the kind that was in my daughters house that she replaced with a built in. It's still in her shed but probably doesn't work anymore as it's been there for a year now.

We just replaced the house's original dishwasher with a KitchenAid that we got a great price on from HH Gregg. Everytime we run it, DH and I both say "This is such a great dishwasher!"

It's quiet, uses less energy and water, has a stainless-steel interior with a white front that matches the rest of our appliances. We can do a 1-hour wash or let it run for a few hours on super-saver mode. I usually load it before bed, set it for four-hour delay, and let it run the regular cycle.

The only thing I didn't like was the gigantic tableware basket that took up an entire side of the bottom basket, so I saved the smaller basket from our old dishwasher and use that instead. When we have company, I pull out the big basket so there's plenty of room for all the flatware and cooking utensils. For everyday use, the small basket's fine. It has a tall, deep basket fixed in one corner of the bottom basket - perfect for long-handled cooking utensils.

Really can't say enough good things about this dishwasher. Best of all, the tines aren't leaving rust marks on my dishes! (That's why we replaced the dishwasher)

Sears sells them, so I'm sure other places do, too. We were saving up to renovate the 1960's kitchen, so it made sense to "make do" with the rollaway for a few years. We gave it to a friend who also rented a place without a dishwasher.
