My dishwasher just blew up  I usually load it through the day and then switch it on at night but tonight it wouldnt start and then there was a flash of white light and the whole houses electric went off!! Why do these things happen when DH's are at work :worried:

That's a pain - especially at night when you really can't be bothered to wash up by hand!

Mrs Mac, have you checked the fuse in the plug? If it blew your electric, it could be that the fuse has blown. Wouldn't it be good if you managed to fix it yourself and proved that women aren't as useless as men think ;)

Not sure where to find the fuse!!!! :lmao:

Only kidding, i think its more serious than the fuse! Prior to it blowing up, it wasnt filling with water so l think it needs a repair man but thanks for the thought :goodvibes

Hope it get's fixed soon - have you any Fairy Liquid? ;)

So that it has to have have been caused by something YOU did! :goodvibes

Hope you can get this sorted soon

Ours stopped working just after Christmas. It wasn't filling with water either. It was cheaper to get a new one than to get it repaired

Hope you get it sorted out :)

If you need to get a new one, I can thoroughly recommend Miele - we've had ours for 9 years now and it's as fantastic (and quiet) as the day we got it. Best of all it doesn't need a cutlery basket as it has an additional tray where you lay all the cutlery out.

I can reccommend Bosch, excellent unit.

See if you can claim off your house insurance as it may have been fire damaged...

Thanks guys :thumbsup2 I've got a man coming to look at it on Wednesday, he's going to tell me whether its worth fixing or not, couldnt find a lady repair person lol

Best nip out and get some more washing-up liquid :sad2:
