I know that we need to bring our own laundry detergent for the DVC villas but does Disney provide the dishwasher detergent when renting points or just enough for the first day? We have stayed in a studio renting points but this will be our first trip in 1-bedroom units. I was also wondering about ice. Do the freezers have ice makers or does Disney provide ice cube trays so that we can mae our own ice in the room without having to track down an ice maker somewhere in the resort? We will be staying at Kidani and Wilderness Lodge Villas if anyone has any other input or tips for things I should bring with!!!

There will be a bottle of liquid dish soap and in 1-bedroom and larger units there is detergent for the dishwasher. Housekeeping will replace these as necessary.

There will be trays in the freezer to make ice cubes and there are a couple of ice machines at the resorts.

We prefer the ice machines due to the superior water filters installed on the machines. Florida has some odd tasting water and we would rather not put the odd taste in our drinks.

Going to get ice when you take out the trash isn't that big of deal, especially when you walk for miles at WDW.

If you are staying at OKW, there will be an actual ice maker in the freezer compartment of the fridge.

If not at OKW where we have ice makers, we go & get ice from the ice machines! So far I've found them to be conveniently close! We use way too much ice to work with 2 trays!

There will be one single use box of laundry detergent and another one on day four.
