The papers appear to be from the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) inquiry into the shooting.

Rich, unless you can pony up the evidence yourself, there are some people who will NEVER believe that it was a bad shoot.

This is disgusting. Even if this man was wearing a heavy jacket, even if he ran from police, even if he skipped on a fare, even if anything you can think of, shooting a man in the head 7 times (which the police have admitted from day one) while he's held to the ground is inexcusable. There is no rush to judgement. There is no waiting for facts. This is bad. People who care about their freedom should be upset about this. The officers responsible for this should be charged and if found guilty, incarcerated (not to mention put on non-contact until the final decision is made).

None of this makes any sense. It just seemed to be one error after another including one officer who testified he had the man secured and then a gun went off close to his head and he (the officer) was thrown to the ground.

CNN had some good coverage tonight.

There's worse. The police initially tried to resist even their own private investigation; a public enquiry is needed now, according to the family concerned, senior met officials, the Liberal Democrat party and the Conservative party.

Scotland Yard "initially resisted" the investigation into the shooting of Jean Charles de Menezes, the Independent Police Complaints Commission has said.
The inquiry was not formally handed over to the IPCC until five days after the Brazilian was shot dead by police on a Tube, BBC News now understands.
