DISers Stalking DISers...our end of June adventures!!

I am just saying Hi so I know where you all are when I get back on July 2. I'll talk to you all soon!!!!

Just popping in to say goodbye for now. We off to the World and will return on July 1. I will not be reporting live as I don't have a lap top but I'll be on here first thing to start reporting. Also, I will have my own TR separate from this that will have even more detail. Please join me there. I will post a link when I get it going!

I'm looking forward to reading all your reports as my fellow Stalkers return from their trips!!! :cool1:

Okay Tuesday we did Downtown and Hoop De Doo. Hoop De Doo was amazing like always.

Wednesday morning we did MGM had some bus problems, waited a bit over an hour for a bus to MGM. Only did ToT, Great Movie, and Muppets. Had LTT for dinner and it was so good.

Thursday, the little one did Pirates Cruise and loved it. Went to captain Cook's for lunch and the flatbread pizza was so good. We had Cosmic Ray's for dinner and it was okay. Last night also did the Wishes Cruise with two fellow disers ( Crazy_Kanga and CourtneyandRyan)

Today we hit AK, did EE, Kali, Safari, FOTLK, Primevial, and Tricerastop. Lunch was okay, we ate at Restaurantous.

Weather has gotten warmer over the past few days but overrall crowds aren't bad as they could be.

Pictures of the trip so far are in the link below

Do you think the crowds are low, since it is between Memoria day and 4th of July. Sounds like you picked a good time to be at WDW. Do you have a blue bagallini bag for purse. Oh, and I enjoyed your pictures.

Ya know I'm not sure. I've been all times in June and July and we agreed last night crowds weren't as bad. Nope I have a Tinkerbell waist pack for my purse.

Hi all , I'm back from our trip to the world. It was so much fun, it rain the first two nights on us, but it didn't put a stop to us having fun. The lines weren't all that long, for some of the rides if you went in the mornings by the afternoon and evenings it was bad. Will work on getting pictures up later today or tomorrow.

Hi everyone! we are having a great time. Wednesday we arrived around 10:30 am at WL and were given a free upgrade to concierge.:woohoo: We just swam and enjoyed the resort for the rest of the day and then went to Ohana for dinner which was really good and a lot of fun. Then we went down to the marina and met up with Courtney and Ryan and Mandy and her family for our Wishes Cruise which was awesome!
Friday we went to MK and arrived around 8:45. We were able to do almost all of Fantasyland with 5 minute waits max. We walked right on Barnstormer and were able to ride 2 times in a row without even getting off. Then we went to Tomorrowland and did Space, Buzz, CoP and TTA. Had lunch at Pinochios and then over to Big Thunder. Left around 2 and went to check in at the Swan. Got a free Starwood Preferred Guest Upgrade to a balcony room which overlooks the Dolphin. Later we went to Epcot and did Malestrom, Gran Fiesta Tour, TT, MS, and Soarin' then went home to the Swan to crash for the evening.
We went to TL this morning for Early entry and stayed about 3 hours. Then went to the Swan and Dolphins Grotto pool which Chris and I think is the best pool ever! Tonight we are planning on going to the Boardwalk and then to Fantasia Mini Golf. So far we have been amazed at the crowd levels being so low. Not to say they are very light, but more so than we have seen in the summer before. Getting to MK early was the key.It is very hot in the afternoon, but evenings aren't too bad once the sun goes down.
I'll post pics later.

ok, all this my account of June 18, the day we left for WDW.
We left our house at 5am, and hit the road. Not much traffic on any of the highways including 95. So we made it to the Animal Kingdom Lodge(where we stayed) by 2pm. I went inside to see about checking in, and was able to go straight to the room after checking in. After checking in took the monsters(my two children) down to the pool. They swam and played while I called the inlaws to let they know we made it okay and wrote in my trip journal. After an hour or so we went up to the room and changed for dinner. Our dinner was to be at Boma there at the AKL. Our waiter was very nice and helpful.
The food was delicious. Haley is a very picky eater but she was very happy with the selection of food on the buffet. At the meat station(were they cut the meat) the server liked to tease the kids about the size portion of their meat that they wanted. After we got our fill of the main courses we checked out the dessert buffet. The monsters shared a plate of goodies. They loved the Zebra Cakes, and the little tarts. They also tryed the Chocolate Mousse that was out. They didn't like it to much, found out that it had a touch of alcohol in it. So after dinner we went to Downtown Disney for some shopping. We got out of the car and it started to rain. So we ran into the first Store, which happen to be The World of Disney. Were we bought a few things Ryan Bought himself Pirate Mickey Ears. Haley bought herself a bag and her grandparents coffee mugs. I bought three charms to go on my charm bracelet. Then we wandered around in the rain to Team Mickey, Once Upon a Toy, Pin Traders, Days of Christmas, Pooh's Corner and Mickey's Mart. After all of that we went in to Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop and odered Sundeas and a coke float. The back to the Resort to get ready for the next day.
Here are some Pics from the resort.

We had such grand intentions of having everything packed, loaded, and ready to go by a decent time Friday night. In reality, I finished packing the kids around 11PM, and Wynn and myself around 2AM. We set the alarm for 7, but actually got up around 8. We were showered, dressed, car loaded, and out the door by 9:30AM. Traffic on I-95 was heavy, but kept moving for the most part. The trip was uneventful (thankfully!) and we arrived in Orlando around 7PM. We finally found our hotel (MapQuest was SO wrong!) by 7:30, and headed out to try and make our 7:30 ADR at Margarittaville, hoping they would accomodate us. We finally found Citywalk (thanks again MapQuest!) about 8:15. After waiting through the traffic to get through the parking deck, we discovered they had traffic routed in a way that dumped us out at the exit. We decided to ditch Margarittaville, and went to find Friendly's, due to the raves of my fellow June Stalkers. We thought the food was pretty good, but not great... but it was hot and quick, and we were hungry! After dinner we wandered through the touristy gift shops and found autograph books for the kids. We then went back to Friendly's for ice cream... YUMMO! I was sitting outside eating with the kids, and I noticed a guy hanging out in the parking lot about 10-15 feet from us, but didn't really pay him any attention. Wynn walked up a few minutes later, and we sat and ate for 15-20 minutes. The guy is still hanging around, and watching us occaisionally... we noticed and commented he was odd, but still didn't really think much of it. As we finished and started walking to our car, he followed us. We kinda picked up the pace, and so did he. Of course, our car was parked in the back corner of the parking lot, as Wynn is paranoid about people banging it with their car doors... so we are headed into a seclude, dark corner of a nearly empty lot at 11PM. Tucker is dragging his feet because he isn't ready to go back to the hotel, so I finally end up screaming at him that I will, and I quote, "Tear your rear end slam up if you don't get in the GD car!" Apparently my uncharacteristic shreiking had the desired effect, as he hurriedly got there and got in. By the time we had the doors locked, the guy was only about 3 feet behind the car. Needless to say, it really shook us up badly. Now more than ever, I couldn't wait to get checked into Disney!

Next installment... MGM Star Wars weekend and pics

Okay I'll sum it up with the good and bad points of the trip. As next year's trip is in the works. :woohoo:

The Good:
-amazing view of MK
-wait times weren't bad, walked onto some rides actually.
-Park Fare, Crystal Palace, and Hoop De Doo were amazing.
-Weather was amazing
-Concierge fixed the problems we had
-flatbread pizza at Captin Cook's
-Wishes Cruise with Kanga and Court

The bad:
-Chef Mickey's (need I say more)
-Disney lost a package that they had guaranteed to be delivered to home by a certain date
-door that wouldn't lock properly
-Disney Quest, the arcade part where you could win tickets is gone now.
-Bus service, waited an hour one day for MGM.
-getting sunburned badly

Pictures to the vacation are included in my sig below.

We didn't like Chef Mickey's, either. I thought the characters were rushed and rude. We have now done 6 character meals, and that is the 1 I can say with absolute certainty that I will never do again.

It has gone so downhill. We were there for over an hour and never saw all the characters. Food was nasty.

how scary for you kari. Can't wait to hear more about your trip.
Mandy , glad that you and your family had a good time. Loved the pictures.

We awoke at 7am, Tues 6/19, to get ready for the day and got to Disney MGM Studios a little after 9am. We strolled our way towards the Tower so Ryan(DS) and Kevin(DH) could ride it. Ryan took one look and said sorry dad your on your own. I'm don't want to ride that anymore. Kevin- Ok, what next. Me - The RockNRoller Coaster. Kevin goes I'm sitting out on this ride with Haley(DD).
Let me say here that the man Knows that I'm afraid and really don't like roller coasters. But I get in line with Ryan because the boy really loves this things. We have a 30 mins wait in line to get in. The line moves a little faster then 30 mins, or maybe it was just me wanting to get the ride over before it started.:confused3 After we see the little introduction with the band, Ryan goes Mommy(yes, my 11 yr still calls me mommy)are you ready. Me- yes.
Him- Are you scared. Me- Yes, Ryan, I don't like these things, and your dad knew it to. So when we get out of here I'm going to hurt him. Ryan- If you want to chicken out, you can. I don't mind riding by myself. No, Ryan I will be just fine. Mommy you can hold my hand. (Isn't that sweet)Ryan I will just keep my eyes closed and I will be just fine. Quess where we sat..........

If you quessed the very first seats you get the to go the the front of the line and take my place. It was a quick ride, Thank goodness. Didn't feel the loop that it does. Ryan loved it. At the end we looked at the pictures that they take of the ride and we got the picture. Here it is.

After that exciting ride we wandered over to Star Tours and Haley asks if this is a roller coaster. No, Haley it is a motion simulator ride. Like the one at the Zoo. OK, she is all for it. By the way a 2 min wait. Hot dogs. A very nice quiet ride. Just my spped. Then we did the Muppets 3D Show. Cute , very cute. I keep waiting for the Chief to start throwing fish at the audience but alas he never did. It was like watching the tv show that was on yrs ago. Oh a 5 min wait for this one. After the show we walked start into the Lights, Motor,Action! Stunt Show. As I said walk start into it and sat almost to the top of the seats. Very nice, very intrutaining to watch. We all loved it.
The last ride/show we went to for our day at MGM was the Indiana Jones Stunt Show. Wasn't that bad but wouldn't do it again. We walk up to the line when they said that the show was starting the show in 2 mins and sat down in the back.
