The 1 comes at 6:15 a couple of times a week, depending on her parents work schedule. (they are both sheriff deputies, and Dad's night shift doesn't end until after Mom has to be on duty.) The 1 staying late is not normal, but her parents had a work dinner tonight. Usually everyone is gone by 6PM, and 6:30 on Friday.

You can keep adding to the gift cards, which is nice. I also like that you can copy the number, and cancel it if it gets lost. The website says they will transfer the balance to a new card if you have the number... so we will photograph it when we go. (I also do this to my photopass card, just in case it gets lost or damaged.) The other thing I like about the gift card is they can shop at disneyshopping.com with them if they don't spend all their money. YEAH, RIGHT!!

I was hoping that the one that was staying tonight was a rare occasion. 6 or 6:30 is not too bad.

That is a good point about being able to replace a card and not the Disney $$. I'll probably do the card now. I take a picture of our Photopass too.

Well, I'm off to shower and to bed. We walked 2 miles again tonight...gotta get used to all of the walking!

My kids love having their own "credit card!" Which is really funny since we almost never use ours!

I am dreading the walking... I have been trying to use my elliptical machine, and have big blisters on my insteps. And I am wearing my favorite pair of tennis shoes, too. So now I have to decide between toning my thighs, and walking without pain! Guess I have to pick the toned thighs! (By the way... I'm laughing because I have SEEN my thighs!)

I am so excited!! Why?! Because we're going to Disney!!!

I have way too much to do. What possessed me to do a garage sale this weekend?! Oh yeah! Spending Money! Also, it looks like my sister and her family are moving in with us the day after we get back! oh vey! This is gonna be one heck of a month!

I won't be on much today. My sister is bringing over the stuff she's selling for the garage sale today. I've gotta go clean house and get organized a bit and cater to my family. Fun!

OK... the snake is from Robin Hood, and I think his name is Hiss. I tried to cheat and ask the kids... but they didn't know!

Congratulations Kari! Finally a more challenging Disney character! His name is actually Sir Hiss from Robin Hood and he was the "righthand man" to the Prince. I saw this movie back in the 70s as an infant and always liked it!

I was thinking of doing the same thing but doing Disney dollars. The kids have accumulated quite a bit from doing surveys and DS just had a Bday so he's loaded. I usually don't bring much cash on our trips. Do you think the GC would be easier?

Personally... I would do a gift card instead of Disney Dollars. Last year both kids carried cash, and it was a pain in the ****, as DM would say!

We did Disney Dollars on our one-day trip last October and, as Kari said, it was a pain in the ****! Trying to keep track of which kid had how much. We ended up guessing and combining all the money. We got gift cards for each kid this year and wrote their names under Mickey in Silver Sharpie. Soooooooo much easier!

Attention all Off Kilter Party attendants, we will probably need to get there at least 15-20 minutes before the show starts if you want to sit. There is very limited seating. We really prefer to stand, because my son likes to shake his groove thang during the show, but since he's older and will have an audience of Diser's he probably will get a little shy. Anywho, I just thought it would be good to get there and chat a little before the music starts. Se ya'll there!

They always tell me to check in 15-20 minutes prior to your seating time so I would think that you should be fine to do that, maybe even a little earlier. I think they seat you at the next available table after you check in even if you are early-as long as you have a reservation.
