Back from the "Gala" - we won NOTHING.
I have to keep telling myself "It's a donation, it's a donation!" .... but we really donated a lot this year, as it is Dana's last year at this school. Oh well. One of the prizes was a $1000 AMEX gift card and the 50/50 drawing was $5300.... that would have paid for a nice Disney trip, huh?!

Mark me down as another that hasn't heard of Friendly's. NC has 1, but its 3 1/2 hours from me. We may try it when we get to Orlando.

No romance for me tonight... Wynn is at work. He is a drummer, and his band plays locally on the weekends. Tonight he is at an oyster bar/lounge. Tomorrow he has a wedding reception. Maybe Sunday... Oh, well! The extra $$$ sure comes in handy!

We did pizza tonight for dinner. Food Lion had buy 1 get 1 on Red Baron the other day, so I stocked up! Then I took the kids, and went to drop off donations for our church yardsale tomorrow. Took over an hour and cost me $10 to get the kids out of there!

I'm going to bed... its after midnight, and I'm starting to turn into a pumpkin!

Dinner tonight for us is BBQ that my mom brought us when she brought DD home this evening. Maybe a trip out for dessert is in store for us tonight too!!

Update on my backrub - in one word - SUCKED. That brat of a husband. He went down to the gas station to play Mega Millions and made a "detour" to the fire station where he hung out for 45 minutes. He came home too tired and blamed it all on me because I was watching Wife Swap! I let it go because he did have to wake up at 4 am to go to work today...

On another note, our dinner was FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We went to a very nice steakhouse here. It was wonderful. OMGracious, we left so full! And we got free dessert b/c I told them it was our anniversary... It was some chocolate moose (is that how you spell it?) with a delish crust... It was AMAZING.... We had a wonderful time!!!!

chicken, duh.
italian dressing dry mix packet
sour cream and chives cream cheese
white wine (yummo)
cream of mushroom soup

You put it in the crockpot and cook it for a few hours then serve it over pasta... It's AMAZING... Restaurant quality and SO easy.

If any of you are interested, I'll actually type out the exact recipie on here, just let me know... But if you want it, you have to PROMISE me that you'll make it soon and tell me how you like it!

Actually when DH & the girls got home from the park we decided to go to our local pizza buffet & we will have the BBQ today. What I didn't know when I posted last night is that she only brought the BBQ meat, so to do it right I would have had to go to the store to get buns, beans & chips...we decided if we had to go out anyway we would just eat out. But dessert was chocolate pizza...YUMMO!! We can't go there too much because we eat too much everytime!!

We have to go to Sam's today to stock up on tp, paper towels, dog food, etc. Before we go I am going to go thru all of the stuff that I have bought for me & DD for our DC trip to see if there is anything else that we need...this time next week we will be on our 15 hour bus ride!! It only takes about 11 hrs from here but with all of the potty breaks and the lunch stop it is scheduled for 15hrs!!

If any of you are interested, I'll actually type out the exact recipie on here, just let me know... But if you want it, you have to PROMISE me that you'll make it soon and tell me how you like it!

Remember, I hate mushrooms.... You can't even taste it. It's what helps give it liquid sauce.

I'll bet you could substitute cream of chicken and it would probably taste the same. A friend of mine always uses cream of chicken instead of cream of mushroom in recipes.

Of course I'm thinking the worse (stroke) so I had DH take me to the doctor. He checked me over. He said its not a stroke and that I'm coming down with a virus. Oh he checked my blood sugar too for diabetes and that was normal.
I've never heard of your body getting numb from a virus. Have any of you?

That would scare the crap out of me. I am surprised that he didn't send you to urgent care anyway for more tests. This could be a serious law suit if it turns out to be more. Do you have diabetes? I do and I have never had numbness from that or from a virus. I was a medical transcriptionist and those symptoms would have scared me enough to say I wanted an EKG at least. But then again, I am not a doctor...just a mom who plays one at home.
