Disers from SK check for flights!

We will be there the same time and will be wearing our rider pride. Last time we were there we ran into others wearing rider pride. My husband and a friend went to a Tampa Bay Bucs game last year and wore their rider jerseys and got lots of comments and met a lot of people because of them.

We considered driving to Minnie but backed out because we have a 2 year old and thought that would be too much. We are pretty happy with our $477 flights and it is for good times as well.

Where are you staying while there? We are staying at Kidani.

We are staying at POP Century There will be 7 of us in 2 rooms. Myself, DH and our three kids and My MIL and my Mother :scared1: Should be interesting lol!:scared:

We are in Moose Jaw...
thanks for the post- that is a fantastic price! I haven't heard of it being that low in a long time. We are paying $670 in July for the 6 of us- and I thought that was a decent price. We pretty much always fly Delta (Northwest) out of Regina, but have done a few different things over the years. Have gone out of Minot in the past (that was pre-Northwest/Delt) in Regina.
2 years ago we flew with WestJet. I love the airline- but hated the connection in Toronto. It was terrible trying to go through customs...we love our quick customs clean in MSP!:)
My parents just got back from Palm Springs 2 weeks ago. They flew United and had a great trip. They had one connection in Denver. My mom said she would not hesitate to fly to WDW with United. It is so nice to finally have a few options out of YQR.

Yes we are DVC owners and love it! There is nothing better, just wish I would have listened to my husband and bought 3 years earlier, now that's not something you hear everyday..... wish I would have listened to my husband that is.....:rolleyes1 Only thing is you cannot look at it like an investment, more like pre-paid rooms. We could never afford to pay rack room rates for these types of rooms, but owning the DVC makes it affordable, for the way we travel anyway. We currently have the THV booked, there are 9 of us traveling together, if you have a chance you should look into it.

How do you request information about DVC when you live in Sask? Anytime I have tried to request it always says they can only deal with Ontario residents? I would never have thought we were DVC material but we are planning our 4th stay at a Disney resort in 4 years, so maybe we are??? Although I don't mind staying at cheap resorts like Pop.

We actually started the whole process when we were at Disneyland, we had visited the DVC people at Disneyworld one year and gave it some thought but the dollar was terrible at the time so we passed. So when back at Disneyland we again visited and said that we might as well take the plunge. Everything was fine as long as we started the paper work and filled out the forms while still at Disney. We were allowed to take the forms home with us as we had 1 week to decide if this was actually what we wanted to do, they wanted to make sure that we were comfortable with our decision. So long story short we took the papers home thought about it for about 1 hour and signed up.
you are correct about the Ontario thing as they only had a license to sell in Ontario but as long as you started the paperwork down there it is a go.

Thanks, that makes total sense! I have always thought about popping by the desk and seeing if that's how I could get info but it always seems like we have too many other things going on while we're there and never seem to do it! Oh well, maybe this winter...and I'm not sure it's for us anyway but I love getting all the Disney brochures, DVDs, etc. I can!!

We are DVC owners as well. We looked into buying direct from Disney but went the resale route. It was pretty easy, we used the Timeshare Store. The Timshare Store answered all questions over the phone. You can do the resale deal from Saskatchewan.

It is my understanding that you don't have to buy DVC direct from Disney. You can buy resale from places like The Timeshare Store (an official sponsor of these boards). To get our feet wet so to speak I would like to start off with a smaller resale contract. We are still trying to figure out if it is right for us too. I know some love it and others don't so I guess it all depends on your vacation habits and where you usually stay. I certainly like the idea of being able to use it at Disneyland and the soon to be open resort in Hawaii.

After staying at BC during a conference BCV certainly are at the top of my list (DW is kind of just putting up with me and letting me deal with this kind of stuff. She knows I'm a Disney addict and is willing to go along with whatever I come up with):thumbsup2 Hey, how can you argue about a trip to Florida every year!

I was just checking one way airfares from Regina to Orlando over the next several months. Fares vary quite a bit from the lowest of $254 in Sept. to almost $400 in Dec. and beyond. I sure hope they come down over the summer.

The flights are still dropping on our dates the price is now $407 with taxes in. Best price we have ever seen.

Wow, that's great! You are going this fall right? What days of the week are you travelling?

We are leaving on Wednesday coming back on a Thursday. We feel we got a good deal with the price we paid ($477) but cannot believe they keep coming down. Hopefully someone can take advantage of these great prices.

I was just looking at Air Canada's site. They've got return airfare from YQR-MCO for $375 CAD including all taxes and fees for a midweek flight in Sept! Delta has similar deals. Wow. Right now that is the one way fare for Feb. 2011.....must resist cheap flights....must resist free dining.....

On the bright side Delta has their 7AM YQR-MSP flight on the schedule for Feb., however the connection in MSP has changed so arrival in MCO is now 5:14PM instead of 2:30PM that it has been in the past. Maybe that will change down the road sometime.
