Here's Brady's rankings:
Patrick Hurd
Amy Kate Connolly
Justin Muchoney
Karrie Dunkin
Jennifer Sechler
David Hawley
David Wotruba
Tangela Walker-Craft
Tripp West
Meggin Weaver

Just gonna stick up for Meggin... she didn't talk to Brady (at the direction of the sponsors) and I think he punished her for it by ranking her video lowest. Her video was better (in my opinion) than he gives her credit for.

And people have got to give Tripp some love. I think that many of us saw the radio booth and recognized that he was going to be a force in the contest, and its easy to turn his strong position into a dislike for his video. I thought he would be Top 10 before I knew he was Top 20.

I liked both personally. I feel that each demonstrated their personality well.

Just wanted to make sure you all realized that I rearranged Brady's list on purpose...

I definitely do not agree with his choices.

OK, maybe I was just stating the obvious...but it's late and my Awards Show Buzz just faded out...

I have to agree that Meggin should have a very good chance! Her's was one of my favorites from the beginning, very genuine and a great storyline!

And Tripp, you too--you know I'm thrilled for you! :goodvibes

I do event planning on the side..... I could try and take on the large task.

I'll DJ the party. I know Fleagle will want some Edie Brickell... Where should we hold the party. I've been to a few events in a ballroom at The Contemporary, but I think we need something a little more magical for our meet.

And -- once again -- poor Tripp is the underdog. :sad2: (... But, never underestimate what a group of highly motivated, vote-crazy DISboarders can do!)

My Top 3 (in order):
Patrick
Amy
Justin

Out of that Top 3, I'd pick Justin to win it all in the forthcoming personality portion of the competition.

I was wrong about Karrie. Andimation was my favorite. Next time you've got to smile more, my friend. Hopefully the powers that be at Disney are interviewing Andy right now for a permanent position.

I was wrong about Tripp and Meggin, too -- my numbers 19 and 20 in the Top 20.

My dark horse at the moment is Jennifer. I'd put her on the bubble at number 4. Jennifer could give Justin a run his money if they both make the Top 3.

And Trippy. Boy, I can't wait to come on his radio show and eat crow. I've got him at number 5 with a bullet.

Oh my gosh - (still re-watching the DIScademy awards show...not even talking top ten yet)

HauntedMansionFan - you rock! Love those reactions!

What about one of the private function rooms at the top of the Contemporary?

fleagle, thank you so much for your defense. that was really sweet of you. i'm still in shock that you aren't part of the top ten.

kenny, and tothesea--thanks for your kind words, as well :)

brady-- you're certainly entitled to your opinion, and it's ok if you didn't like my video :) maybe you need a visit from me and my red "wish granted" bag. i promise, it will make you smile!

patrick, tripp, and justin, congratulations! i'm really humbled to be included with you in the top ten. i've been a lurker on the disboards for awhile, but i've had difficulty posting replies to this thread before tonight. i think i had earmarked my favorite topics without logging in first. oops.

anyway, to all a good night! eric, thanks for all of your work on the awards. they've been spectacular!

lol... I don't mind being the underdog one bit. Like I said before, it just makes me work harder. And from this point on, it's not going to be easy. Nothing but hard work... of course I am going to Disney World next weekend... I wonder if I can find and UnderDog T-shirt to wear before I leave...

Actually, no. Those were re-rankings. Want me to post the original?

Ok, guess my joke bombed...

Let me try again in a more serious manner.

I personally disagree with his choice of rankings...even if I take DIS loyalty aside, it's mixed up.

Most prominent is, using her own words, the person who did not sell herself, did not have a creative video and where was the fun??

Ah, but remember that this portion is NOT about personality!

It is about personally driving as many voters to your site as possible.

If you are going to camp on a cute smile, you'll lose.
If you think you've got the best video, you'll lose.
If you think someone is going stumble on your video to vote, you'll lose.

There's a key to winning this contest!

I'll give props to Eric here. He had a dynamic plan. The pins were just great IMHO. I'd share more, but I'm not getting any loot for the knowledge!
