I've been as silent as Ariel after trading her voice for legs, not because I'm trying to keep a secret of being a top 10er (I'm actually a baritone), but because of the disappointment of receiving the "Not a top 10 finalist" e-mail, yesterday. The Mickey tears just keep on flowing. Just "not enough pixie dust" I guess.

But it has been a blast! And Fleagle's last award was a riot!

WHAT!!!!!!!??????? My worst fears are coming true.... all of the videos I didn't like are going to be in the top 10.

***** Inside voice ***** Now stop that HMF you have come so far with turning your attitude around..... don't slip back.

Fleagle = 462 posts of Comedy...Commitment...Courtesy...Caring...and now the best one....Character!!!!

But, don't be to quick to get rid of those pins, they might come in handy next year (just use a sharpy to turn the 8 into a 9) If the SPONSORS are smart they will do this again! And to sorta quote California's fearless leader.... "We'll Be Back"....

Agreed! (Of course, it's often easier said than done, so 'Kudos' to fleagle for his courage! )

I have to say: I'm quite impressed with how graciously all of our DISboard friends (DisneyDD2, "Doc," the "Andimator," Daisy, and -- of course -- fleagle) have handled the news. They're all such class acts! (And, I know it can't be easy right now...)

Having been a non-winning pirate finalist in last year's Dream Job contest, I must say that it is nice to see that those who are not moving forward have been contacted by Disney & CarereBuilder. One of the worst feelings one can have, aside from losing, is knowing that you had thousands of people vieiwing & voting for you, which in turn generated LOTS of exposure for both Disney & CareerBuilder and then you're just ignored once the contest was over... No e-mail; no pat on the back, nothing!

To make it into any round of finalists deserves some sort of recognition, no matter how small.
