DIS'ers escaping Mardi Gras

ME! ME! ME! This bayou brat's family headed East on I-10, leaving from Prairieville Friday the 4th for ASMo.

The backpack should be adorned with lime green HD Mickey heads & purple / green / gold ribbon. Our stroller will probably be sporting a Mickey head and an LSU bandana.

We're not going to WDW during Mardi Gras but we are making a return trip to WDW in December. Staying here in Lafayette for Mardi Gras.

Mardi Gras with the mouse! This weekend we'll catch a few parades here. That's enough Mardi Gras for us. DS is marching his first parade with Holy Cross Sunday. He's in 6th grade and is excited, but not nearly as excited as he is about going to WDW! Maybe one year Holy Cross will go to WDW for the Gras. I've seen Jesuit before and I think I read that Rummel will be there this trip (other New Orleans schools).

BTW, Fat Tuesday there will be a group of 17 of us at Mama Melrose and Fantasmic.
