Ours came back at 7:10pm. I'm in Central NJ - not all towns around here lost power. My mother and MIL who live in the next town (about 5mins. away) never lost power.

glad to hear SW Ct. is back- my parents are in Newtown and their power went out right after 4 today. talking to them now-no power yet

Niagara Falls NY just went back on and CNN and the president said they thought it started here but locally out news is saying it was in Canada. It was a scarey experience when we realized how widespread it was/ Had a hard time getting home without street and traffic lights. Well the AC is on now and now getting TV reports. Wow - New York City is stiill trying to get people home. Best to them and hope everyone stays safe.

Checkin' in. We've had power, but kept our computers off because we kept getting brown outs. I also know that when I get to work, there will be no internet access (we think our DSL got fried), so I thought I'd say hi here while I could.

(What am I going to do all day with no Dis? Boo Hoo!)

We lost ours for 5 hours. Got it back up last night a little before 10:00 pm.

Im at work right now, and we have power...in a different town....

We were one of the fortunate folks here in Ontario as our power came back on at 8:45pm last night ........where only a couple of blocks away they at this time still are without power.

It's so weird that some homes have power and across the street they have none.

DH had to stay on at his work last night for 18 hours and he said he's never worked so hard in his life as he's at a major steel plant which must keep going even during a power failure.

I really believe this is a sign of things to come.
