for anyone who's been thinking of cruising on the Oasis or Allure of the Seas, the Disboards is having an organized cruise on the Oasis in August 2013.

I've been wanting to cruise on the Oasis or the Allure for some time now, so i'm really excited about it!
I'll be able to experience the Oasis together with a wonderful group of disers as well as the podcast team!!
how much fun can a person have!!!!!

I should point out how good the price is for this 7 day cruise.
Much better than the fantasy

And keep in mind the deposit is.100% refundable until the final payment date

And anyone reserving by July 31 gets free round trip transfers to the port in fort lauderdale!

We can't plan anything yet until we know what is happening with Matt and University, if he gets the results he needs he will be at Lancaster until next summer then hopefully at North Carolina from August, we will possibly be spending time up there rather than Florida.

If we are down in Florida Mart(burt) & Nigel(DISwolves) have booked a Disney cruise, they keep asking if we are booking.

August does not work for us as the schools go back around the 22nd of the month. I am happy to steal some dates before they break up for summer but would not take the troops off at the start of term.
Maybe some day the finances and dates will collide for a podcast cruise

so far the podcast cruises haven't worked for me either...this is the first one that may just possibly work out for me!!

i totally understand not taking kids out of school at the beginning of the year...
no way my kids would have ever been willing to do that!!

If he gets the grades for Lancaster they they do a study abroad course for English Language, this would take him to http://www.unc.edu/index.htm for his second year. Then return back to Lancaster for his final year.
16th August we get the grades but no idea when we find out if its definitely UNC.

a Brit going to the US to study the English language....hmmmm....i think there's a joke in there somewhere...

i assume if he goes it would be UNC at Chapel Hill - definitely a very good school and in a very nice place (albeit among people with a very funny accent )

We cruised on the Allure last September.
Absolutely fantastic ship. At the end of the week we were still finding great places that we hadn't discovered earlier due to the sheer size. Favourite places: Central Park, Viking Crown Lounge and the Solarium (for an uncrowded breafast).

Leaving Southampton tomorrow on the Grand Princess for fourteen nights to get away from the infernal Games!!

I know we were torn for next year, we are doing a 5 night dream this year and have booked for next but it is only 1 stop at castaway so feel we might be disappointed having had the luxury of two this year...

We looked at this and it fits our dates so are stuck in a dilemma. Both I and DW love the podcast so could be quite interesting and I love the more active things going on board like the zip wire!

We have some thinking to do..... but maybe switch out from the dream to hold our options open.

i just got my confirmation - if you reserve by the end of this month, you get free round trip port transfers from WDW to the port in fort lauderdale.
That's a really good deal.
and from what i understood, you don't have to decide now where you're staying (so you don't have to order the free transfers yet), but if you reserve the cruise by the end of july, you'll get those transfers free.

the cruise deposit is fully refundable until the final payment date.

i've been trying to go on a podcast cruise since they first started doing it, but it hasn't worked out....it's not so easy to get across the atlantic

but i'm really hoping it will work for me this time!!

Just waiting for the taxi now, Western Med cruise, Cadiz, Alghero, Rome, Livorno, Cannes, Barcelona (booked an excursion to the Nou Camp!), Gibraltar.
Where we go is less important than not being here!
