I was thinking about coming here on our trip next year. We will be traveling with our sons ages 2,5,8,11 & 13 at the time of travel.

The 2 & 5 year olds I think cannot do the dolphin swim- right??

Is it worth it to go there and not do the dolphin swim?? I would never do it and leave them behind - my 5 year old would go NUTS cause he loves Dolphins. Trying to decide if maybe we should skip it and go back in several years when everyone can join in.

I have decided to hold off until the kids are all old enough - it will give us another reason why we have to come back :)

I know you've said that you'll be giving it a miss this time, but I'm just posting to say that I'd agree with you :thumbsup2

They do need to be at least 6, maybe 7, to be able to swim with the dolphins, which is such a wonderful experience. You'll all love it as a family when you get to do it, it's amazing!

There's plenty more for you to do in the meantime, we don't want to be wishing away your little one's childhood, it's soooo precious!

Treasure them, and enjoy the Mouse and the Magic for a few more years! :goodvibes

I would say it´s deffinitly worth it without the dolphin swim. There is lot to explore. My kids 1 and 4 years loved the birds in the aviary, and floating in the lazy river.

We were asked by the staff if our children would like to attend in a activity they called Kids cove. They told us we could come to the lagoon at closing ( 5PM ) and a group of kids got play with the dolphins doing tricks and kissing them. It was a really magical moment and the best part of the entire day. The photographers were there as well and we got absolutly wonderful pictures of our 1 year old hugging a dolphin. It lasted for about 20 minutes and it did not cost a single dollar.

I just returned from our swim. I had a great time but I would wait. My husband stayed with our 5 and 2 year old and my 14 and I went for a Mother/Daughter Day. I am glad we did. The water is very deep in many places including the lazy river which is 8ft in places. Also we swam with the fish for several hours. Most parts of this tank are very deep maybe 20 feet. As a parent I couldn't have enjoyed myself trying to keep track of my 5 year old in water this deep and she is a good swimmer.

Swim vests are available.
