Going to Universal in November and wondering if we should add Discovery Cove? We are staying on-site for 6 nights. My daughter loves dolphins and would be a great treat for her. Is her 6 year old brother allowed to do the swim too? He loves fish,animals,bug... has anyone had a child that did not want to go into the water...he loves the water too! I am just worried paying all this money to swim and he won't go in. Should I book a dolphin swim for me and my daughter and non-dolphin for husband and son? What do you think? Also do we have to pay for parking at Sea World each time we visit with the Discovery Cove pass? Not sure if we are renting a car yet...is there a shuttle from Sea World that goes to Discovery Cove? Thanks

The DC website lists the age restriction for the dolphin swim. I'm not sure offhand what it is. I have heard that there is shuttle service between SW and DC.

yes there is a shuttle from SW to DC. I believe there is some sort of phone box at SW to give DC a call to pick you up.

The age for the dolphin swim is 6. When in November are you going? I saw a child that didn't want to go in. The trainers tried their best, but had to give up after awhile. There were more people in the group who wanted to be there.

Depending when you go, maybe it wouldn't be sold out. You could book for you and your daughter for a later swim, and if your son wants to do it, maybe there would be space on the day...... it is taking a chance though. Have you looked to see if the dates you want to go are sold out?

There is a phone, we used it one night to get to Discovery cove for the Dolphin Sleep over. It was about 6:30-7ish and they took a longish time to turn up( esp as DC is just over the rd from SW) i think it was proberly just this time at night and that in the day it works well as more passengers. My son (who was 9) loved it but was initially nervous about going in( he kept his mask on as didn't want water in his eyes) but after the talk and the other children in the group got in, he was fine and really enjoyed the experience. Best wishes Ruth
